Hi there,
I'm Kelly and aged mid 40s. I'm a busy working mum of 2, business owner and wife who has decided that 2014 is the year to get selfish and prioritise myself more. I am eating and exercising to lose weight and inches. It isn't a race, just a way of life for me and I am enjoying the ride.

At my heaviest I was 84.4 kg (2010)
My goal weight is somewhere between 65 and 68 kg. I am not setting a time frame for goal as I don't want to set myself up to fail but I would love to achieve that goal in 2014 - here's hoping !

I'm British Smile and totally emphathise with the 'cups issue' - in my house, we have many sized cups and I know which ones I'd like to measure some foods with but I'm sure they're not the regulatory ones that the recipes refer to.
I am also a fan of 5:2 although I am doing ADF at the moment as I have a mini goal that I want to get to for 6th May and things were going slowly for me on 5:2..... but will revert to 5:2 when I get closer to my goal.
I don't live in Blighty. I am also a Turkish citizen and live in Turkey but I consider myself 90% English. Would love to connect with you Smile

No one noticed the weight loss
Oh bless! How discouraging! You have done so well but all that blueniamh says is true. I once asked a friend who I hadn't seen if she had changed her hair because she looked different and she replied that she hadn't but that she had lost 40lb. I was so embarrassed! That was actually a compliment I guess because she always looks great and I obviously hadn't noticed the excess baggage before it was gone.
I always want people to notice my weight-loss...don't ask me why as it is none of their business and I would hate it if it was contrived so I rely on my husband to tell me that my bum feels smaller lol and my kids tell me that I look great when I make an extra effort to wear something nice. They may be faking it but hey, it feels good to have a compliment from your nearest and dearest and don't worry about what the others think. Tell yourself that they must have always thought you look as great as you do now Smile
