Despite not getting a lot of sleep, today has been great so far. I managed to wake up in time to talk a little bit to Mega, the house is clean, laundry is on and my eggs are boiling. Now I just need to cook my chicken breast for my lunch and all will be well lol! I just can’t help but feel so…motivated and so upbeat and I am thoroughly enjoying it. No…things haven’t worked out in my favor yet but you know, I’m okay with this. I know that everything will be okay.
I have been trying to be more aware of everything like my feelings and emotional states…along with my health and fitness and how they tie together. There is something that I would like to clear up…mainly for my own benefit. I do want to lose weight and tone up…but it’s not just for my trip in July. I want to be strong and fit…to be able to keep up with my kids and live a long full life. So while I want to look good, my health and being strong is the most important thing.
I am definitely taking it more seriously which I am proud about because I had floundered quite a bit early in the month. When I first attempted to do the T25, I did really well…when I combined it with Kettlebells and Yoga…I started to notice a lot of progress. Then February hit and I was thrown off my scheduling and it's been a struggle since trying to find that groove. I am glad I found it again. :) I am definitely feeling more positive about my weight loss journey.
It also helps that I have a great support network. My friends are all rooting for me…and some of my family as well so I know I can achieve this. Creating a healthy lifestyle is extremely difficult…especially when a lot of the ways I was is due to how I was raised so breaking those comfort habits is hard. It’s a slow process but I am positive I can achieve this. Once I instill it in myself, it will be passed down to my own children because I understand the importance of health. I have a lot of health issues myself so maybe if I start doing this more seriously, then I can be rid of some.
Daily Summary *Focus T25: Stretch felt so wonderful today, especially stretching out my calves. I was a little surprised by my burn in a good way lol! I burned more than I expected I would. :)
Plank: 30 second plank today. I didn't think I would make it but with Piper sitting right there next to me...I managed. Pretty proud of myself. :)
