I need to get busy on this sunny Saturday in a few, it's a late start as I fell back to sleep waiting on my coffee. Strange how mental tiredness takes a bigger toll than being physically tired.

My tulips and lilacs are blooming. I so want to work outside but my kitchen is a priority as we could still get some cold weather. This frig in the basement and stuff everywhere is driving me mad....

Exercise for the day will be painting. I know 2 coats are in order so while giving the first coat time to dry will head outside, it should be warmer by then. Mowing and weed eating is mandatory this weekend. Hopefully the predicted rain won't move in and hopefully my mower will start.

Will try to remember to eat properly. Weekends are off schedule so I tend to forget to eat until I have a low sugar headache. I woke up with a headache so hoping the ibuprofen will kick in soon.

HCB, they smell so good. I've been tempted to put in an ever blooming bush but haven't done so. The spring ones never last long enough. Mine was the only thing planted in my yard when I moved in except some iris crammed against the foundation (those have been moved). It is overgrown with lots of dead wood, I keep pruning it more every year hoping to get it back to having tons of blooms, it's better than last year but not there yet. Will do more after it stops blooming.

Taking a few minutes break. I should finally have the first coat done my 12:30. I'm liking masking the woodwork. I've never done that before, makes it go pretty quick. I used to be good at doing the edges free hand, that's how I learned when I was a kid. I found out quick last weekend that was not going to work. My asthma drugs make my hands shake just a bit.. too much to get a steady bead on the paint. That meant a trip for painters tape and several hours spent taping. I will have some ceiling and woodwork blips to fix when I get the walls done. LOL.

I need to paint my walk-in closet this weekend before the handyman comes back on Monday to install new shelving. I haven't painted in a while. I used to be hood at the bead along the ceiling and trim...hope I don't have to spend time taping (at least it's only a closet-lol).

Grins, my pantry was easy, high gloss white walls, ceiling, woodwork. I still have to cut and paint the shelving and the door. Will do those in the garage speed out on crates. Easy that way.. I want it easily washable and bright.
