Getting ready to travel! Looking forward to a beer tasting festival and relaxed time with my hubby! No doubt Frank will be "up" when I return but he always comes back down again! So nice to not be stressed about what am I going to eat? The only down side is that many of my clothes are too loose now. I actually bought a couple of size 10 things at Wally World yesterday. Okay, not fancy clothes but still ... size 10? I KNOW I've never worn a size 10!! And I haven't really lost all that much recently. My body must be shifting itself.
Y'all have a great weekend ...

Do you agree? Sizes are soooooo relative. A "10" is someone else's "12." An "8" is someone else's "10." Fit is what counts for you and me. Have a blast tipping up a few. Go for the moderate and sustained buzz. That's my motto. In my college days I could maintain a day long pleasant cloud and NOT overeat. Today I get a headache if I don't eat something with my favorite - Michelob Ultra. SIGH. I have a college degree in German and one of my German professors brewed his own home made beer. This was back in 1976. The brew was dark sweet and rich - also very potent. Students who attended Dr. Fletcher's "fests" and praised his beer-manufacturing talents received "A's." Of course - these students also worked very hard! Translatetion - Ubersetzung - Ja- diese Studenten auch haben sehr stark gearbeitet! Spater! Ubersetzung - Translation - Later!

"Translatetion" is not a word. The word is "translation." My bad.

Have fun drinking beer. Burp! Oops, excuse me. I am a wine drinker actually. The only beer that I really like is Sam Adams light. I like the taste but have it only when a decent wine is not available when I go out with friends to some of our favorite haunts.

Poet, you crack me up with your "corrections" and you got caught this time. lol

Excuuuuuuuuse you - WECANDOTHIS! Wine - my favorite is White Zinfadel - makes my face, neck, ears, and forehead turn BRIGHT RED. What's up with that? My ears are on fire when I drink wine. Also - I mistakenly put a Bartles and James strawberry wine cooler in my son's kindergarten lunch box many years ago. I was on the school board at the time. Geeeez! Glad I checked that error. I thought the wine cooler was one of those Koolaid "Kool It's." He-he-he-he. Anyway. The red face during my wine drinking is awkward. It is sooooo embarassing - not as mortifying as my friend's belching when we converse like this. Looking forward to the "Bier Meister's" critical review!

No wine for me unfortunately. I love the stuff but it almost ALWAYS triggers a migraine. Migraines do not equate to fun so I almost never drink wine anymore. Beer is an acquired taste ... but I appear to have acquired it!! Margaritas and Long Island Ice Tea . Tequila is typically kind to me!! LOL!!! Poet ... I do agree ... sizes are relative. But nevertheless ... it is very exciting to me that I can wear smaller ones!! We stopped by Macy's on the way to the airport and I scored FOUR ... yes ... FOUR pair of very nice pants for a grand total of $29.00!!! It will be fun deciding which one to wear when we go out!!

I can drink white and some roses - anything with tannin (reds) will give me a migraine. Beer too.

Margaritas give me a headache the next day so I tend to stay away from them. Beer makes me really, really tired. And wine does not make my face turn BRIGHT RED. Of that I am really glad of. However, jalapenos make my inner ears itch so much, but it is not a terrible really uncomfortable itch just an itch that makes me want to put a finger in each ear, meet them in the middle and itch away. Weird. Great job getting 4 pair of pants for that amount of money. Wow!!! How tall are you? I am 5'9" and have a terrible time finding pants long enough, always have to let them down. I just have trouble finding pants that fit anyway I am so fussy about the overall fit.

Congrats on the size 10's! That is awesome! New sizes are such a moral uplifter for some reason. It is evidence of your healthy new habits! Have a wonderful time with hubby at the beer tasting festival. That sounds so funny to me. I think of tastings as something you do with wine, and GUZZLING as what you do with beer! :) Enjoy!

Make sure you are *exactly* at your desired weight before you start going crazy buying clothes. I've gone through this several times now and it's one of the reason's I'm reluctant to go all out to get to what I suspect may be my ideal weight (153) - I don't want to lose all my clothes *again.* At the moment I'm having trouble with belts for the fourth time since I've been on Fatsecret.

Way to go on getting new britches Girl! I got new britches too! Also a Size 10. Long Island Tea - now there's a drink to tell tales about - one of those beverages that goes down smoothe on a hot day. But slowly - slowly! The problem is that when you (I) stand up - look out! How was the festival - by the way? Wie war das Bierfest?

Info ... I hear you about the clothes issue. I've gone through a few already. But, baggy, saggy pants are hard to me to wear. For the price I felt good about the purchase. I keep thinking there isn't any way I'll wear a smaller size pants and then it happens. Mo ... I'm 5-10 and I have a hard time finding pants long enough too. INC brand often is long enough for me ... I just got lucky!!
