Yeah finally down to 229... This is a huge milestone for me as I have been at this particular weight so many times in my life. In just 10 more pounds I will be down to the weight I was 6 years ago after having lost 70 pounds. I finally realized at some point in this latest journey that it is a diet at this point in time but after the diet comes weight management. The management part will still having me account for my every calorie but I will get to eat a few more of them. It's rewarding to know that in the eventuality of things I will get to eat 1800-1900 calories a day. after only consuming 1300-1500 (1600-1700 on really bad days) that will be a walk in the park. (notice how I didn't say a piece of cake!)I also realize that I am going to have to walk/exercise I'm guess at least 5 days a week for 45-60 minutes. I suppose being responsible to yourself and your physical well being is simply a look of hard work. I truly believe in my heart it's worth it...

Wow, you're doing great! 41 lbs lost is incredible! I too have come to recognize the importance of exercise. When I've lost weight in the past I've done it mostly through diet...this time around, cardio exercise is an integral part of my plan. It really helps, as on the days I don't see a big difference on the scale, I at least see a difference in how my clothing fits. It does help to think of being able to add a few more calories in after the dieting phase is over...my calories are usually in the 1400's or 1500's right now. We're practically neighbors, too...I'm also in the Metroplex, on the south side of town though. Good luck...you've done a fabulous job so far, much continued success!
