So I have platued(haha dont know if I spelled that right) at my current weight. I have been told that with Atkins you loose inches before weight...is that true?

Has been for me. I've lost almost 20 lbs...but it's come off v e r y s l o w l y, which is fine with me because it's leaving for good this time. But despite slow weight loss, I'm very clearly shrinking and remaining in ketosis. My clothes are too big for me not long after I go into a smaller size. So hang in there. If you really want this to be for good, the best way is to lose it nearly painfully slow. :O) You can do it!

I think it depends on each person. Some people lose a lot of weight, others lose a lot of fat at first. But either way is an indication of weight loss success.
