Stress proof or proof of stress?

Friends, buddys and followers, i have been absent for quite some time (21 days to be precise) And i am sorry for all those that took strength and power from my words to have left them hanging.

I have found out that although i always liked to think so, i am not as stress proof as i thought. Stress eating is one of the hardest habits to kick because at the time of stress not only does your body need more calories, you also stop caring about the whole weightloss thingy.

(Don't worry, i been going to the gym every day, and i have not gained much, maybe a kilo tops)

But i have thought and meditated about this problem of mine for a long time. I have come to see a way to turn this stress eating around. You see your body is telling you tons of things all day long. There is no manual for that, sadly. But the moment i start to eat, or start to get something i know is not on my list, my body already knows it is having stress while i am still in the dark.

Eating or snacking is proof of stress.

Now that i have determined that, i can now start to cope with stress. If it is something i can fix, like "the house is a clutter"-kind of stress. then i fix it or plan to fix it in the reasonable near future.

If it is something i cannot fix, like "my mother-in-law is coming for a visit" then i recognize it is not something i can fix. And i do some short simple yoga exercises to reduce stress level and to come to terms with the situation.

Never give up, but submit to life.

Maud.

Good to hear from you again! Serenity to accept the things you can't change and courage to change the things you can, etc really works. Take care and have fun.

I like that saying! It's the whole balancing act. Got to appreciate that. Happy you're here, Maud.
