Michele Waymire's Journal, 10 October 2014

I weighed myself today and lost another pound. But its been down hill from there. Craving sweets big time, ended up drinking a Pepsi and eating chocolate. That's what happens when I don't have the right foods in the house. I should have gone to the store instead of sending my family. I will learn from this and get back to eating right tomorrow :-)
302.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 142.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I find that I don't have time to cook something decent for every meal and that's when I get into trouble, too. Now I spend one day, usually Sunday, cooking enough food for the week. By making it all on one day, it's there and ready for me no matter what. I even portion it out before I refrigerate it which saves me a lot of time. Planning my menu for the week is challenging sometimes but overall it saves me from making bad choices when I'm just too tired to cook. Breaking the craving for sweets is tough! I hear ya!

I did the same thing on Sunday. Congrats on the loss! Hopefully it's still there tomorrow. I hate going backwards, but at least you've caught yourself before things get crazy!

I agree that it is so important to have the right type of foods on hand. I always get myself into trouble that way also. Stock up on some healthy treats for when you are craving sweets :)Tomorrow is a brand new beautiful day!!!

Having your house stocked with good for you choices and limiting the not good really helps. It is easier to do when you live alone :)))

It's amazing what a couple of cookies will do to you. The more you feed the crave, the bigger the crave gets. Every time we go through these attacks, and regain our control before it consumes us, we get that much stronger to fight these craves when they come again. Sounds like you got it under control again and that's half the battle. Today is a new day.
