Didn't wear blue light blocking glasses yesterday evening. Four hours of solid sleep with vivid dreams (a whale frozen in the act of breaching), followed by four hours of drowsing while listening to podcasts.

Morning plank. Ten minutes on the Sunny Air Walk Trainer to burn off glycogen. Filled a 72-ounce jug for hydration. Supplements: two cinnamon capsules, one potassium, one vitamin C, B12, B6.

Today is a down day (500 calories) on the Alternate-Day Diet. I always had problems adding psyllium fiber to hot tea, but it seems to mix up fine with the protein shake.

An hour and a half of posture, neck, trunk, and flexibility exercises from "Age-Defying Fitness." I put 3-in-1 oil on the lower joints of the Air Walk Trainer and that seems to have stopped the squeaking, which was a relief, because it had gotten pretty loud. I was grateful because, while I didn't spend much on it, I want it to last. Cardio: 51 minutes, active heart rate, 104. Steps: 422. I'm currently binge-watching "Foyle's War" on Netflix. Put on the blue light blocking glasses at 8 pm.

Relaxation: half hour nap.

In what could be viewed as a transition to eating more whole and less processed foods or the accumulation of useless kitchen gadgets or both, I bought a Veggetti Spiral Vegetable Slicer, which makes veggie pasta.

Curious to hear what you think of the spiral slicer....saw them in a local cooking supply store. Looked cool, but decided it was an added gadget I didn't need. But I think I might break down and get one eventually.

FullaBella, I had two wide awake episodes after having no problem falling asleep. I haven't given the glasses a sustained effort so I'm not writing them off. Probably due to stress.

I bought a spiral slicer on Amazon. I like the idea, and it works ok, but it is hard on my arthritic hands. I ended up using a peeler to peel thin slices of zucchini for z'oodles instead.
