2ManyCurves's Journal, 16 September 2014

Went over calories yesterday (or early this morning really). While studying quantum mechanics at 2am I realized I had mindlessly ate a whole bag of microwave popcorn. Needless to say, my weight is stagnant this morning. At least it wasn't a gain. Today is a new day, right? I need to quell the mindless snacking/stress eating that rears its ugly head when I am doing homework. On the upside, my energy levels are pretty high even following the traithlon and lack of sleep secondary to school. Must be all the spinach I eat. Oh Popeye!

Today---Going to get in a run after work.

Kettle Korn popcorn and Emerald Sweet and Salty Mix have been my downfall! I know there are worse things I could be eating...but these have been my recent accomplishments!

Quantum mechanics, eh? That's why I'll never be a doctor lol. You are an insanely amazing woman, marathons, courses whose names I don't even understand, a job, and a family. Son of a biscuit, if I were in your shoes popcorn would be the least of my problems. :) You are kicking ass!!

Thank you, Sweet Ce. I need to make that my mantra. MightyFully, I'm not even a big popcorn eater. It was just there, quick and bite-sized as I calculated energy transitions of electrons. Yolanda, I have seriously considered asking my personal doc if she remembers Schrodinger's Equation. I truly feel like I am learning so much information that I really will never, ever use on a day to day basis in dealing with patients. I'm certain they make us take these classes just to separate those who are determined and persistent enough to complete the courses from those who throw their hands in the air and curse Heisenburg.
