Will try to ay attention to eating well today, even though it's a week off. I'm really bad about forgetting to eat.

Monday, 8:30am. I would have normally already have had 1.5 hours of work in, here I am being lazy drinking coffee and on the computer. Woke up at the normal 3:55 time but went back to sleep with the peaceful sounds of distant thunder and the trains down along the river as the windows were open.

Will get busy here in a few. Take care of a few business things, get organized for the day, then on to work on house projects. Wish my garage was organized because I'm going to be hunting tools. Oh well, that's a weekend project soon. I need a plan for storage first, since I gave my daughter the dressers the tools were in. They were a mess then too. LOL

Weather is 72 for the high with possible storms, the ones earlier went north and south of me. Will concentrate on an inside project today with the predicted rain. Need to push myself to get out of this lazy mental state and move. Normal fall thing for me.

Almost 12:30 finally time to tackle finishing my stairway demolition. Lots of calls done. Internet being updated so can get rid of satellite, cell contract redone also for a $45.00/mo lower price, direct TV canceled, roku devices ordered, about 160.00 knocked off my monthly bills, will add about $30.00 when my free trials of Hulu and net flicks expire, asthma and allergy scripts refilled, main drain clean out scheduled for tomorrow(started backing up yesterday--tree roots) previous owner planted a tree above the main drain for my house (not a good idea). Productive morning so far. I have trouble getting on the phone for me after being on it all day at work. Might have to buy a new laptop but 200.00 compared to the recurring $100.00/ mo basic only direct TV I can deal with. Have more to take care of tomorrow but that's a start. Not much for exercise so far, wandering around my house on hold....

Have a great week!

Still 2 steps to go to tear apart, takes a knife and a crowbar. Then pull out lots of carpet staples, lots of arm exercise!! They wrapped each step in heavy thick carpet with at least 100 staples in each step. Grrrr..

You are accomplishing so much while saying you are in a lazy mental state and I feel really guilty of doing nothing, lol...

Oh no, not really, should have my staircase demoed by now, still have a bunch to do. Sitting here being lazy. Need to either cut carpet, or pull nails and staples. Get it measured and design the woodwork. Need to get it all ready to paint. The weather changes are making my hands hurt, arthritis. Keeping them working will help.

Have you tried apple cider vinegar for arthritis?

Whew, breaks off and on, I will be so glad to get this old icky carpet off. The last step is 1/2 off then for the floor. The floor carpet was put in before the metal spiral staircase. I tried drinking it last year in amounts suggested somewhere. Was so sick to my stomach and had heart burn for days. I tried doing small amounts and building it up, I can do a small amounts but that's it. I decided best to keep using it in cooking and salad dressing. With losing weight and exercise it's doing so much better, just flaring with the drastic weather change this week. 90's heat indexes 100+ a few days ago now lows in the 40's highs in the 60's and rainy. I've managed to break all my fingers, a few more than once, and both of my thumbs over my life, they complain sometimes usually all at once... LOL. I know if I keep them busy they will feel better. I do have custom braces I use occasionally in the winter.

Dreamcatcher, thanks for your thoughts. I actually love doing my projects especially when they make my life better, so am being kind to myself. Might be hard work and challenging for this 65yo gramma, but I like it. The thing is it's all mine.....If I get stuck I text my SIL for advice. He laughs at me a lot. Wish he was closer, 2 hours away. I bought a little ticky-tacky 1960's ranch house 5 years ago, nice little neighborhood of similar houses, 5 close neighbors are still original owners. 980 square feet main floor with a finished basement. My kitchen was updated, nice cabinets & ok appliances, all the windows updated, new roof, new siding, the front is brick. The interior was all painted white except the basement that was really dark paneling. Just me, bought it after a divorce (no money from him, had to pay him for 5 years). Also had ex'es who drank too much among other things. I did most of the work on houses. I've re-done the basement, help from my son-in-law to redo the electrical, the ceilings, move the laundry room plumbing involved. I still have some finishing touches to do. I now have an bright pleasant awesome quilting studio, an extra bedroom and a cozy living area instead of a dark dungeon that I like spending time in and is functional. My spiral staircase is ugly and impossible to clean. What were they thinking??? I finally have a plan for it. Hopefully it will turn out clean, bright, and attractive. My son-in-law is replacing my front doors in a few weeks. Then I will start painting the upstairs so it is colors I want, not whites. Most is my choice to change, some though is updating from original. Bathrooms need some updating yet, not this year. It will be how I want it to be, one of these days. Once I get it done it shouldn't be much of a money drain. It's a really solid house with good bones. My Dad died in 1999 but I know he approves, he lets me know now and then. Sounds nuts, I know.

I'm envious ... a week off. Although I work in front of my home and do have the luxury of just walking back and doing 'something' when no one is in the shop ( I have CC to look out there in case someone's at the door) it's just not the same as being all the way out back in the yard and not being worried about getting dirty, etc. I'm always seeing all those 'repurposed dressers' on pinterest but I never see any cheap dressers for sale to repurpose. Besides, I have to keep storage to a minimum because I just want to fill it all with junk anyway. I need you to come organize my life. You're not doing anything this week anyway, LOL. EAT.. dont' forget to eat!

Dreamcatcher, so sorry you have been through all that. Mold in your basement, not good. We think that mold was the trigger for my mom's cancers. She remained in her manufactured home in Florida after 4 hurricanes in 2004. It was still standing but damaged and many delays on insurance and any repairs. The area above her ceiling was chock full of black mold when I arrived to help her move many months later. Bella, I used to work from home full time, need to get that going again part time once I get my house done. The thing with that is that work is always right there. I'd being working at all hours, not giving myself those needed breathers. Love my 4 weeks paid vacation....I had my old teen age bedroom set stored in the garage, my girls used it as well. Good solid wood furniture (simplified French provincial style) the chest is still here but leaving this fall. Needed to get it out of there, my car barely fit. I'm, trying to pare down the junk!! Continuing project, that's for sure...

Get yourself some Virgin Coconut Oil, to put into your coffee when you don't think you are going to get a good meal in for the next couple of hours. It will keep you sane without having cravings until you get to the next meal. Have a great day and relax and enjoy the sounds of the raindrops between working on your projects.

Sorry, good suggestion for many. Lots of people can do the coconut oil thing. Makes me gag, just tastes slimy and nasty, even cooking with it does. I've just thrown the food out. I use coconut oil on my skin and hair. I get involved with doing things when I'm not on my normal workday schedule and simply forget to eat. For me it's not really any cravings. I get hungry for crunchy now and then and chocolate every few months, bout it.
