Yesterday was right on target with about 1200 calories. That along with a good workout last night and drinking lots of water brought me down almost 3 lbs to 229.3 lbs this morning, taking off what I'd gained from Sunday's food fest. Today's target is 1300 calories. If I can stick to that calorie level and keep up with the workouts I should be able to hit a new low with my weight loss by weigh in on Friday. BUT...the proof is in the pudding as they say. After Friday I'll raise my intake to get back to my RDI of 1700.

I really like the recumbent bike we just got. I've been using the target heart rate program. Right now the target is 110, that's probably a little low but after 3 heart cath procedures and 5 stents I'm being cautious and not doing too much too quickly. So 5 minutes of warm up cycling, 35 minutes of targeted cycling that's keeping my heart rate somewhere between 105 and 120 (the bike plays catch-up to what my pulse reads) and then a few minutes of cool down pedaling is where I'm at. I'll increase the heart rate as I'm comfortable doing it.
