Movement! It's the best defense against depression, unless a doctor prescribes you something, of course. And DO NOT SLEEP! In hospitals when they're trying to pull someone out of depression, they don't allow too much sleep. Sleep exacerbates depression. Just take one day at a time. But focus on movement, less sleep, and definitely talk to your doctor about it!
