Yaaaaaaaaaaaawn!!! I woke up three times last night to go potty, I guess the cleanse/100 oz of liquids a day has caught up to me. That's good though, I'm back down within 3 oz of my weight from Sunday, I knew that 5 lbs was water weight.

I found a recipe for a dark chocolate peppermint protein shake I wanted to try. Well, it's disgusting to say the least....it has banana in it, which is fine, but it basically tastes like a peppermint covered banana with a chocolate after-taste. I'll try again tomorrow but definitely not as written.

Tonight will be interesting, every Wednesday hubby and I go out for wings to the same place. There really isn't anything "cleanse" friendly on the menu, lots of fried stuff and red meat...they do have a pulled pork sandwich though and coleslaw so hopefully that will fill me up without the bread. I better bring a meal bar with, just in case....I will not slip, I know I won't. The first 10 days are the hardest, I'm halfway through, slipping means starting over and I refuse :) I also refuse to finish this shake...BARF!

Tried running this morning but with the added exercises at night my legs were extremely tired. Ended up walking 2 blocks, running 2 blocks until I was home then did my ab workout. Tonight I'll do another ab workout and light legs. I'm gonna kick this challenge's butt!!! Woot Woot! Happy hump day!!!

I don't think fruit and peppermint mix together good, peppermint and chocolate can be tasty. Never eat anything that you don't like, since we are on a limited amount of calories per day everything should taste good.

I agree, it called for a whole banana which I think was the problem...it was just too much banana flavor...stinks, cause that's what I brought for breakfast and I don't want to steal something from a different meal...hmmmmm....water it is!! :)

I need to do ab workouts like nobody's business! I look about 10 times fatter than I really am because my belly is so floppy. If I tighten those muscles, I have a pretty...um..."acceptable" figure. The problem is, since I have no abdominal muscles to speak of, I use my back muscles when I work out. Other than just concentrating on using my abs when I work out, do you have any suggestions? Also, peppermint and banana? Sounds like it would take more than chocolate to tie those two together! :)

I use the Ab Challenge on Active.com (search 30 day ab challenge, it has 6 total exercises)...it builds your muscle really fast I personally think...there's also a great site called 30 Day Fitness Challenge that has a few to pick from or skinnyms.com....I've found doing a whole range of motion is the best way, like NOT JUST doing crunches, doing bicycles and upside down crunches, side bends, planking, etc...which you'll see in a good challenge...one thing with belly fat is you HAVE to fat burn and HAVE to exercise those ab muscles to get results...you can't just tone them like your arms or legs...

if you THINK about your abs when you workout it'll help you use those muscles instead of your back and squeeze your ab muscles as you do them, most likely you need to just go slowly and concentrate until you feel where you should be flexing from...same as when you run, if you THINK about your hips you'll run from your flexors...

I would have such a hard time at a wing place!!!!!!!!!! I'm curious as to why you would choose this place for your date night when you're trying to lose weight?

Haha good question, ever since before we were dating we've always had Wednesday Wing night as our date night...so we're three years running for it, it's pretty much hubby's favorite day of the week, so I'll just make do with what I can...I'm such a good wife ;)

Yeah we know how to be classy lol....we were friends before we dated so when we started actually dating we kept the tradition, now it's kind of our "thing" :)

I sooo admire you for doing a cleanse. I'm trying to work up enough nerve to do one, but not quite there yet. I love your "Wednesday wings" tradition, & good for you in deferring to your hubby's love for them rather than insisting on something more "cleanse-friendly" for yourself. It's little giving things like this that strengthen our marriages. Wishing you continued success ~ Go for it gal!

Thanks dear!! Be careful when you choose a cleanse, some make you poop your brains out...this one doesn't, it's the AdvoCare Herbal Cleanse...just make sure you do your research and read people's reviews...everyone in my group was scared because they heard the nightmares about them, but there are gentle ones out there :)
