Good morning FS Family....

Still the same weight today but not discouraged because I know what I need to do: Either up my exercise or decrease my calories (a combination of both would be ideal).

Ahaaa. I realize my slipping up in the evenings with the tasty foods, snacks, 1 beer and 1 drink is because I stopped drinking water after 2 pm. Why, my commute home is 1.5 hours minimum and I don't want to be the guy asking the commuter van driver to pull over and thus delay our trip home even further.

I will ask my wife to remind me that as soon as I get in, to get back to my water consumption before I do anything. Once I walk in the door and either smell or see food its over! My exercise plans go out of the window and I turn to the comfort stuff (food and drinks)

I need someone to bet me that I will stay fat and they are better than me. I need a personal challenge. I am very competitive. The weight I dropped just a few weeks back was because I was in a competition. (I am still down 15 pounds (from my highest recorded weight just 57 days ago [255]) but there is no reason I can't cut the crap and just do what I know. Uugh!!!!!

I am so motivated by other FS members putting in the work and getting results. I need a FS warrior to get in my face and tell me they can do something better than me. Don't tell me it's alright, and that I am doing fine (that is my mother’s job and I am a grown man with my own kids). Look me into my eyes or the computer screen or cell phone, and tell me that you will crush my efforts, whether it be in XX day, you can have a bigger % drop than me and you can keep it off permanently and you will win. [[[Tell me about your most recent success and how I can't match it...heehee]]

I have 55 lbs. to go and I want to see it off in 10 months(This will be an awesome birthday present to myself). I know I can do it. HELP!!!!

Who is ready to kick my butt????

HELL!!! I LOVE a challenge. I live for challenges, and because you gave me the green pass, i get motivated myself... I was ready to make myself and extra sandwich, but I AM NOT GOING TO. Why? because if i am not, maybe you are not... that is, IF you are as strong as me! ... a challenge back to ye: are you ever as strong as me???

I've challenged myself to do 100 squats, 100 push-ups, and 100 sit-ups every day for the month of July. What are you going to do for July?

If this is what is going to work for you then ok, you're on. Your diary does not look like you are making your health a priority yet so I bet you that you can't log every bite for the next week. I also bet you that you cannot go a day without eating any processed food (not eating anything for a day will not count).

Ouch!!! Game on warriors!!! @mgrill, I will do 50 squats, 50 against the wall pushups for the month of July (I snuck into a LAN closet [it is aircondtioned to keep the electronic equipment cool]) 2 times already since this challenge today and banged out 25 squats and 25 of the modified pushups each time.) Wow...I am out of shape. I will probably commite to situps after I success with keeping these commitements... @puhpine and @ForJandM I will get back to you tomorrow with my thoughts. Thanks!!!!

Providing you don't have any kidney problems, I challenge you to do the low carb diet and watch the weight fall off you. Check with your doctors to make sure that you can do this though. Have you read The Atkins Book, by Robert Atkins?

I have read and own a few Atkins titles on one of my book shelves. I loved Atkins when I did it years ago but similar to most who failed with this plan, I reintroduced carbs back too fast and went back to my old lifestyle.

Okay, I'll say what I think, and what works for me. We need ALL: carbs, fat, protein, AND we need micronutrients, vitamins and minerals that are normally (used to be) in most basic healthy foods. Cutting out one of the basic three is putting us in an imbalance, & I suspect will have penalties down the road. I challenge you all to educate yourselves on healthy diets, NOT fade diets, or those that advertise and brag things like "lose 10 Lbs in a week!" or fill in whatever. FOLLOW THE MONEY. LONG AGO, A great help to me was a book called "Are You Confused?" by Airola, Paavo.
