A woman was almost abducted by 3 men in a van today on a street I walk on everyday. This is the second reported attempted abduction in the area. I am so angry! How does someone -actually 3 men agree that they are going to go out at 2PM in the afternoon and try to kidnap a woman? I took my husband out with me today but he is not always available. Our streets are full of solo children and young girls/woman running or walking...I never felt unsafe until now. Now I want to warn everyone I see and walk every kid home.

My husband says the beast will protect me-or at least make me less of a target. I worry about the beast getting hurt-in my nightmare fantasy it never ends well.

We are not going away this weekend because I have to work-so have to postpone the termite extinction until Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully it's not too late to rent a house for our min-vacation. Worried that the house will be reduced to sawdust by then. The termites are swarming now and they are everywhere. The termite man is coming Friday to do some local spraying.

Okay enough wingeing!

GOOD THING: Going to gyno tomorrow and demanding help with whatever is going on with me-menopause? I am in constant PMS and gaining weight! Granted I am eating more on some days and stuff that is not good for me either-which I attribute to the hormones as well. Just noticed I got negative again. GOOD THING: I plan to meet my best friend 2 for lunch afterwards!

Better end on a positive note.

oh veggies-I am so sorry! It's been happening to me but more slowly. I gained about 30 lbs in 2 yrs and have been battling ever since-went from a size 6 to 12-now I am back to an 8 but feeling very close to a 10 again. I love my gyno-I have lost 20 lbs since last time I saw him and he said-"oh because you really wanted too!" WHAT!!!! I have always wanted to and have tried EVERYTHING-what a stupid thing to say. He just doesn't get it. Told me to take Vit E and Evening Primrose Oil for the breast pain-duh I take both along with a zillion other things daily. Took blood and waiting for hormone levels. May put me on Eostrogen. We'll see... On a good note-my ovaries and uterus look great-that's a relief as I've had problems there before.

Veggies & Densible: Thank you for sharing. I went through the same thing about 6 years ago -- gained 30lbs in just about a year. Spent my entire life prior to then as a skinny (almost critically underweight) girl and in just a short time, I was a size 18! And, the suggestion from my doc at the time (my hubby called her my intern): try not eating!!?? Turned out, I had ibs - so, I apparently was gaining because my body thought it was starving. Now, after seeing your comments and seeing my current struggle, I wonder if there is something more that I need to check out.

You and the Beast stay safe! Very scary! Good luck with the hormone level results and getting things worked out. I think I'm heading into that territory, too, so it's great that everyone is sharing their experiences.

densible, intrinity and amryk...i did not want to gain the weight to start with...lol...i was always too thin...ate anything and everything...it was at the time that hubby and i started to eat healthy that i started to gain...so at first i attributed the gain to NOT eating junk and then when i passed out in the garden we realized that it was more than what i was eating...i started with the otc perimeno meds...they would work for a week or two and then quit...so finally found a naturalist who ran a complete blood panel...over 60 different tests...she came back and asked me when i went through menopause and i said i hadnt...my blood work showed that i had and we started treating that...however those meds also make you gain weight...so the fact that i lost weight being on them - no matter how slowly - i felt was more than just the weight coming off it was also stopping the gain process at the same time...estrogen is a hard one to adapt too...it may take a couple of months before you really get used to it...i had to take it at night and sleep through it for about 6 weeks...i also had ibs and holes in my esphogaus (sp?) to add to the issues...i had to go off those meds because they contributed to the hormone imbalance...so be careful mixing them...if you stay on them have blood work done with the meds in your system and adjust the hormones around that...i go every 6 months and get my blood re-evaluated...this time it shows that i have more going on inside, which is why im having surgery on friday to see if they can "see" it...the weight gain is sooooo scary...so much so fast...hang in there...it will come off once you are balanced...
