mars2kids's Journal, 11 June 2014

Feeling a little less tired today, but I tossed and turned during the night again. I don't know what's going on, but I need to get a good nights sleep eventually. Tonight will be an early bedtime.

My son has had a fever the last couple of days so no baseball last night. Poor guy. He feels great after you give him tylenol and his fever goes down, but once the tylenol starts to wear off you see him fade. I let him sleep in this morning rather than wake him up to take his temp, so my hubby is going to check him and take him to the doc if he's not better. :(

With no baseball last night I did get a run in, so that was good. I tried a new running app and this one says my run was almost 4 miles and my other app says it's only around 3.3 at most, so I don't know which one to believe. I'll try using the new app again the next time I run and see if it changes the distance. I love my phone but the GPS on it stinks.

I have to work late today, so I'm hoping to get a quick strength workout in after work. We'll see how it goes. I'm having trouble with motivation this week. It seems like if I have an excuse not to workout I'm going to take it, so I need to get changed and start my workout before I can think of an excuse.

I'd better get to work. Have a great Wednesday!!

I don't have a phone to do GPS so I figured out my mileage by driving my running route in the car. However, that only works if you are running along the road like me.

If you go on a computer, mapmyrun.com lets you "make" a trail to figure out your mileage. Also, I live in the woods, and I have the best luck with cardiotrainer app.

Thank you so much for the helpful tips about portions and such over on my journal. Your starting weight is pretty close to my finishing weight. I am a baseball mom too. My son played all through school and excelled as a college player. Enjoy these busy times. HUGS!

great job on your running - it is hard to not think of it as a chore; but maybe you can think of it as a "vacation" from the chaos and it will be a treat!
