euheide's Journal, 04 April 2014

I'm writing this on a separate journal so it gets more exposure :)
I have just found out about "hemp seeds". Apparently, they have a very good Omega-3-to-Omega-6 ratio. For anyone who is looking for a good source of omega-3 besides fish, this is it :)

Oh, wait a minute, flax seeds have an even greater omega-3-to-omega-6 ratio. How come I never noticed this :P

Anyway, I'm sure Hemp seeds are already awesome and I've already bought a package so that will do great! :)

Chia seeds are also good for omega-3, anti-oxidants- they digest better than flax seeds- they are packed with so many great things for the body. :) Take a look http://www.nuts.com/cookingbaking/chia-seeds/premium.html

Its been a bad week for me. I have managed to go over my calories everyday. I am extra hungry this week and I am not sure why. It will probably show up on the scales on Saturday and then I will be really sad. I have a party on Saturday so I hope my dress still looks great. if not :( . Wish me luck everyone.

With flax seeds just make sure you grind them or the they will mostly just go through you undigested.

Something completely different euheide i had to think of you and your grilled chicken "rampage" as you called it lol because I had a grilled fish "rampage" today it was the biggest fillet ever and I told myself i'd keep half for lunch tomorrow but not a chance!!! Still stayed within my calories though so hopefully your theory of overall calories versus calories consumed in one go is true!lol;-)

By the way, when posting links on the comment's section of fatsecret, always either separate its sections with spaces or convert the adress using tinyurl.com because fatsecret unfortunately truncates all web adresses probably for security purposes heheh.

hmmm Didn't know that either Wholefoodnut! Thanks! What about hemp and chia seeds? Do those digest better? :)

I have an idea, I will put them in an envelope and jump on them ahahahah ;)

lol Njashka :) Exactly like what happened with me! Couldn't keep the other half for later ahahah! I've heard that one from a study so it should hold true :) Your daily calories should trump the calories in each of the meals ;). I'll cross my fingers for you heheh. Grilled fish can be mouth watering depending on the variety. I miss eating grilled sardines!! lol I think Iamachristianjesusfreak suggested a way to grill them indoors without lots of smoke but I forgot. I have to go back to look for it in my journals :)

* I don't think she was referring to sardines specifically, but to meat or fish in general.

Thanks Njashka, Tim and Aamaddux! :)

Wrap them in aluminium foil! With lemon juice, garlic and seasoning! But we always grill outside so can't be 100% certain about smell. Down 100g today btw. so going by that overall calories do trump.

Not sure about hemp or chia. Most seeds digest better though if not eaten whole.
04 Apr 14 by member: wholefoodnut
hemp and chia do not need to be ground or soaked! very easy and yum!

Thank you very much Njashka! ;) I will do that! Aha! So that study is apparently correct! :)
05 Apr 14 by member: euheide
Thanks Wholefoodnut and Tulipgirl! :) I still have a package of hemp seeds and they do taste great. I will probably stick with those and try chia later :)
