Seriously? A cup of chicken broth? That's what I thought earlier today when I felt like absolute dreck suffering from what I believe to have been the dreaded Atkins Flu. I suffered with it for most of the morning and then realized I had nothing to lose by trying it so I did. And it worked. I feel a lot better now and didn't have to force myself to eat at lunchtime like I did at breakfast. I really didn't know if I was going to hold breakfast down and I have an iron stomach. I cannot think of the last time I was sick to my stomach. Even after nights of drinking to oblivion. Headaches, yes. Sick stomach, never.
My point? If you're in the beginning of Atkins and are feeling "out of sorts" try the cup of chicken broth. It helps. Really.

Oh yes, that little cup of chicken broth works wonders. It truly is a magic soup of nothingness. Happy to hear you are feeling better.

Thank you. I am fortunate in that I rarely ever get sick or have many health problems other than joint issues which I've had my entire life so I'm used to that, so when I feel sick or flu-y I really am at a loss as to what to do about it. Salty chicken broth. Who knew?!?

Yes, it's your body's way of dealing with a decrease in your sodium levels. It'll go away in a day or two.
