Reached my Diet Bet goal! Wahoo!

Also, I'm loving the BMI decrease. Cannot wait to be overweight!

It is sunny out, though not warm at all. Tonight is a short run. My husband thinks I am addicted to running. I often procrastinate and am hesitant to put on my shoes. Once I start though, there is nothing like feeling my heart pound to the same rhythm of my feet hitting the pavement. I'm very thankful for my running buddy. I do not believe that I would have stuck with the training plan as well as I have without her showing up on my doorstep 4+ days a week, especially with the cold temps. It would have been easier to stay inside cuddled with an electric blanket and watch Netflix than to layer on clothes and set out to spend several hours in weather that ranged between -7 and 30 degrees over the last month. She really keeps me accountable even when I want to resist taking the first step into the cold. If you are just starting to run, find a buddy. It really helps. Some weeks I feel like I spend more time with the running buddy than I do my husband. But, those long runs don't seem near as far when you have someone just as dedicated as you are there for support every step of the way.

Here's to friendship and health! Quite a nice combination.

Great job on your running routine. If you're planning on running a marathon, you need to be addicted (aka dedicated) to running :)

Does your running buddy have a sister... one that will show up on my doorstep and not let me talk my way out of the layering, running shoes and 'just doing it'?

Congratulations! I am sorry that I have been a rubbish buddy and haven't checked out anyone else's journals. You have done fantastically, and I really want to start running, other than indoors on the treadmill. I know some other mums at school that run, but they are all superfit and fast, and I know I am not!!
