Good Morning all! Thank you for the comments yesterday, It meant a lot to me. I have handled my stressors well, and have not eaten off plan despite their best efforts. Of course somebody should tell my scale that, the rotten little pos that it is. Today is my 'Off' day from the gym, so hopefully the muscles will recover and drop about five pounds of water weight before tomorrow morning lol.

Today I have to do a lot of things I really do not want to do. Particularly dealing with some bill collectors. They're going to be rude, I'm going to be like "I would have paid you, but I didn't have any money". They're all the same ya know, despite whether its a medical bill for your sick child, or a missed payment on your new Lamborghini. I don't have a Lamborghini lol, just saying. Waiting on uncle Sam to give me back the money he stole so that I can beat down the collectors that haunt my dreams. Here goes nothing!

My next big stressor, the hubs thinks I should go back to school to become an LPN. That was always my plan, I have always wanted to be a nurse. I became a MA instead, and hated it. I hate offices, I hate doctors, ugh it's all a nightmare. I believe it would be different working in a hospital with patients, rather than in an office trying to make sure the doc doesn't miss his pedicure at 10:30 and washing his car on my lunch break. I always wanted to make a difference. So I will call and inquire about the local tech college's one year LPN program. It's a big leap, but if we are going to be broke either way, perhaps I should be working on a better career for myself.

So those are the two things I am stressed about, and if history has taught me anything it's to just deal with it. Make the calls and put it behind me. Sitting around worrying about it isn't going to help. Maybe the extra weight on the scale is the load of the stress?? lol We will see!!

Have a great day everyone!!

I'm going to have medical bills coming in soon enough, so I'll be in the same boat trying to figure out how to pay them off. I think it's great that our hubby is supportive and encouraging of you going back to school! If that's what you want you should definitely do it. One year of school now, can lead to a lot more years of happiness for you later. Look into financial aid and scholarships too, that way maybe you don't have to pay for all of it. Good luck!!

Stress ways a ton on the scale and your shoulders. Unless you have a plan for paying the bills don't take the calls; it's not like they're banging on your door; just block them until you have answer. Don't give someone with a phone power over you. And from someone who spent a LOT of time on the patient side of medical care I don't think LPN's get much more of a break than MA's... usually the one w/the most interaction with Cutty were the RN's. So dream a little bigger if your goal is to do one on one patient care; my Grandmother was an LVN and said toward the end she felt like nothing more than a glorified secretary with all the 'charting'. If *I* were going into the medical field I'd be a surgical nurse; I can stand, don't mind blood, and prefer the patient to be unconscious, LOL. Other than that, pharmacist; they make a ton of money for very few hours if they can just keep their hand out of the cookie jar and not get addicted.

Yo, you'd be a great LPN OR RN! GO FOR IT!

Thank you guys! I did make some of the tough calls and got a few things straightened out. I know for a fact that a debt collector cannot refuse to take any amount of a payment in the state of ohio with forfeiting the debt completely, so I gave that big mouthed woman with her big ol attitude ten bucks lol. It shuts them up till my income tax gets here. As far as the LPN/RN debate, I can get my LPN in one year, then take part time courses for two years after to get my RN as part of their "fast track" program, so that would be the plan. MA's only make around nine dollars an hour here, LPN's can make almost double that doing home health, which is in pretty high demand in this area. Not the more glorious position, but it gets me out of an office. I did call the school and am attending an informational seminar about their school of nursing this evening. I'll let ya'll know when I've made my decision :-)

Hi Yolanda, I read this earlier today and just wanted to think about it a bit because curiously I believe we think a lot alike. I think that if nursing is what you'd like to do then yes...why waste anymore time not getting to this goal as well. I do wonder though if you have the time to invest. I hope you do. As always I look forward to hearing all about how things are going for you. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Food for thought. Get your LPN. Get a job with a hospital or employer that offers employees the opportunity of continuing education and go for your RN. And they pay for it.
