Good morning!

It's 10 AM and I'm doing fairly good today.

I slept late. I did my workout. It's a good beginning of the day.

The last two days, I have tried to be more cautious with my back. It seems to nudge me to feel a little better. The lower back pain is, well, a pain. It hurts.

Taking better care and focusing more on what I do helps me to prevent the pains. Sadly, a few things are hard to do such as getting dressed. I can do it, but it'll hurt, and it'll hurt for hours afterwards.

Today I slept late, and was all messed up in my head when I woke up. I just got up, showered and got dressed. It was hard to do without pulling anything.

After I had gotten dressed, I realized that I didn't weigh myself.

Oh well. I decided to skip it. It would be way too much hassle to get undressed again. I'll weigh in tomorrow.

...

I did fairly well yesterday. I went slightly lover my calories, but not by much. The downside was that I wasn't all too active. It was raining and I just mentally needed a day at home.

Still, it's all good. If there is damage, it can't be all that much, and today is a new day.

...

Today, I'm meeting with Wife for lunch. We're having great shawarma, good quality meats with salads. Not a bad choice at all. I'm heading to get her in a few.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Weekend. I get to see Wife a little more.
- Morning coffee!
- Gym! I feel so much better both physically and mentally after a good workout.
- Wife! Best company in the world.

Happy weekend! Life is good!

I'm sorry you are having back pain, to add to the mix of crap you are dealing with. I am sure though it is nice NOT to have to go to work. Enjoy your lunch date and I hope and pray you feel much better in all ways sooner rather than later.

So sorry to hear you're having back problems, King, those can be murder! BABY yourself, and take it easy (if possible! lol) until you heal up. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. :)

Sorry to hear about your back - you have my sympathy as i broke my coccyx when I was 15 and it has left me suffering bouts of sciatica from the pressure of a bone fragment. Good to hear about the trip to the therapist - talking is wonderful and really beneficial for reducing stress - a problem shared is a problem halved - well, it's cliched, but you know what I mean!

We had beef Shawarma for dinner last night. That with salad and a lovely thin white sauce they served on the side and a pita loaf. Yum! The best things are the low calories and the price because it is a locally owned restaurant not a chain. $20 for dinner for two and no tip because you go to the counter to pick it up. I can totally relate to your back issues. If I didn't do my morning bridges and stretches I would not be able to get showered and dressed. It has added 20 minutes to my already long morning routine. Gotta do it though! Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for keeping us up to date with you!

I agree with the stretching! My sciatic nerve was acting up years ago, iwas in so much pain that I went to the emergency room, after I could barely get dressed. And the doctor told me to do stretches every day before I get out of bed. The point is to prevent problems. So I do the alternate knee to chest stretches and then both knees to chest too. It helps so much and ive never had any problems since.(knock on wood.) But also know that the less weight pulling non your back helps bunches. These stretched can really prevent pulling your back, I love them.
