Well another year down and a new one to start. I was reading an article yesterday that said that it is easier to stick with a weight loss plan if you actually write down your game plan.

Game Plan for 2014: I am going to go one month at a time. However, I do have some yearly goals I am ultimately shooting for: (1) I want to run the 5K in our town's Mayfest celebration. I plan to start running as soon as the weather starts to warm up enough. (2) I want to lose another 12 to 20 pounds this year. (3) I want to buy a few size 10 bathing suits this April to wear in the pool we put in last year.

January: I am going to renew my exercise routine. I am going to exercise everyday that I can. If I can do 6 days a week I will. I am going to try to do at least 30 to 60 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of toning everyday I can. I am going to zumba, weight training, JM and other DVD's, power yoga, and intervals on my elliptical running both forward and backward. I am going to try to keep it different and challenging so I don't get bored.

I am going to stick with WW pointsplus plan and try to log everyday to stay accountable. On days I travel and can't look up what I order, I am going to try and make good choices, such as stick to fruits, veggies, low carb choices and high protein choices. I am going to make it a point to eat breakfast even before I travel as this usually keeps me from overeating the rest of the day. I am going to try to drink coffee instead of coke for caffeine when I can.

I am going to try to worry less about the things I can't control and try to take at least 1 hour to myself everyday. At night my husband can watch our daughter and the dogs while I exercise or take a long shower, something. I need to start thinking of myself as well as everyone else.

At the beginning of each month I will post my monthly goals and a progress report from the previous month. You guys are being challenged to keep me accountable. Don't let me down. I will do the same to you.

Good for you!! Sounds like a great plan. I like your idea of the monthly goals, I might have to do that too, maybe it would keep me more accountable also. You go!!

Hey Kathy, have you started on your running? You need to get going for May. Have you printed a running plan? you can find on Nike website.

I can not run outside as of yet. It was only 6 degrees outside this weekend. I have started doing intervals on my elliptical. I run both forward and backwards. I have also started doing strengthening exercises and toning. I will get onto the Nike website today and print out a running schedule. Until winter is over, I am not going to get to run outside as living on a dirt road means sometimes very slippery or muddy and unsafe conditions.
