Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 23 December 2013

It doesn't look like I will be surprising hubby with the big news this christmas. I ended up spilling the news early. I was doing so well! You wouldn't believe the number of baby comments people make until you're hiding a secret. Then it seems like it's all anyone can talk about. Maybe I was giving off an I've got a secret vibe. I don't know! Then the news of all news came out. Kitten is knocked up. She's been dating a guy with 3 kids for 2 months. They announced 2 weeks ago they were going to get married in September to which we laughed. She's never had a relationship that's lasted over 6 months. Then yesterday she announced on facebook that they are expecting. ARE YOU FING KIDDING ME!?!?! He has 3 kids, isn't divorced, she has 2 already, and they are all supported by the state. Merry xmas! It's another baby for the state to support for parents who probably shouldn't have any kids to begin with.

I didn't take the news well. My last pregnancy took a back seat to her sister because no one wanted to upset her. I understood. It was her first. She wanted her spotlight and she was due a couple months before me. So I wasn't allowed to make a big deal out of it to keep the peace. This time? I could care less. I'm not going to sensor myself. I'm going to post annoying facebook messages, I'm posting pics of every single ultrasound, heck! I will post pictures of the waiting room every time I go to the doctors office. I may take pictures of pee cups!! Screw Em!

Eating I'm doing alright. I'm not gaining. I'm not losing. I think I'm going to weigh in every other week so I don't torture myself. When I had little man they recommended I only gain between 15-20 lbs. I think I can stay in that range. I plan on going to the gym every day, eating healthy, and I've already downloaded core exercises and signed up for a pregnancy workout group newsletter. If I milked cows and did barn chores up till I popped last time then this time I should be able to milk cows, do chores, and workout until I pop. So long as I don't go nuts on the food the 15-20 lbs gain is mine!!

Is hubby overjoyed??? Ugh, I can relate to the family procreating on the state issues. I know it's terrible but I wish you had to pass a certain level of maturity and financial standing in order to keep popping out kids. Don't sensor yourself, this is your time to shine! :)

Hubby is overjoyed! He's already spilled the news to a couple people even through we said we weren't telling anyone yet. lol And it may sound terrible but I agree! When you're on your 3rd generation of state aid, you can't support the kids you have, and you brag about your ability to work the system? I think there should be mandatory tube tying and snip snips if they want to get a dime.

Haha I totally understand - I was SO bad at keeping it a secret. I was going to ask what his reaction was. So glad he's as excited as you! That really sucks about kitten though. Its one of the things that will get me riled up EVERY time, people who live off the government with no intention to change. I get it, the support needs to be there to help some out but my gosh it's just so abused by the same people over and over. Hang in there! I know it s a different situation, but I felt the worst emotions about BIL knocking up his baby mama and I'm finally coming around to accepting it and actually embracing it!? You flaunt that baby in her face and the awesome life your little one will have :)

So glad that your hubby is excited! As for kitten...I have no comment that is nice, so I won't say it! Just enjoy your family and what you have! Great game plan to keep exercising. Have a great Christmas

Congratulations! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thought your post was hilarious and frustrating!! They are working the system - too many people now have 'caught' on and have no plans to ever work... :(

Congratulations!! Don't worry about the Kitten, you just do what you have to do for yourself. I've heard that pregnancy and child birth are even easier if you stick to an exercise routine. I wouldn't know first hand because I didn't exercise when I was pregnant, but it's worth a shot! Good luck!!
