Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 02 January 2014

Well my Christas break is done and now I'm back to work. If it weren't for the horrible roads and the weather that's suppose to be coming later today I'd probably be jumping for joy. I'm EXHAUSTED. I thought my last pregnancy left me tired. That's going to be nothing compared to this one. For a week I did barn chores, cleaned house, tried to keep up with a toddler, and a hormonal 10 yr old. I was either sleeping or trying not to eat myself into a food coma. The good news is I didn't gain any weight so I probably needed all the calories. I didn't need the entire brick of cheese I ate yesterday or the bagel sandwiche with a giant porterhouse steak on the side.. or the 2 cherry pie thingies from the gas station before dinner. Hubby and the farm hand think I'm carrying twins because I'm eating for 3. BUT!! I didn't gain anything yet so obviously I burn more calories than I thought when I'm working around the farm.

Now that I'm back to work I'm going to try to eat better and get back to working out. The morning sickness has already started but so long as I eat something every 3 hours it seems to stay away. I had morning sickness for 6 months with little man so maybe this means its another boy.. or twin boys. I need to find some ginger altoids and stock up on crackers.

Love ginger altoids... have you tried ginger chews? Those settle my queasy stomach (from stress, wrong foods, etc... haven't ever been pregnant) better than the altoids.

Mints were the best thing for me! Felt like crap unless I was either currently eating or had a mint in my mouth. Any hard candy really did the trick. Just think about anything sugar free. I quit the artificial stuff and made sure to buy regular just because I decided to forgo the questionable aspartame. I definitely used to over consume it, so no judgement here! Just something to think about!

I know what you mean, sometimes you get more of a break going back to work than staying home. I hope the morning sickness doesn't hit you too bad this time around. Eat healthy food to keep that baby healthy. Good luck!!

At vitaminsshoppe dot com is the brand garden of life and the sell a prenatal with ginger in it to help with morning sickness. It also has raw iron in it which is easier on your stomach. They also have a raw B complex that I take with it and this is the first pregnancy I haven't had morning sickness. Congrats
