Rdrunr557's Journal, 16 December 2013

Every time I start to add lettuce or vegetables like broccoli to my diet of meat, eggs and cheese, I go over my carbs.

I though meat was carbless - I roasted my own turkey, used my slicer to cut it into lunchmeat and it is still 2 carbs.

I think I'll stick to pepperoni.

I think you're using the wrong turkey in the database. If you made your own turkey don’t use the processed turkey slices on this data base. See the USDA's official listing for Turkey meat, roasted, no skin is zero carbs. http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/958 and sodium is only 86 mg/3 oz (unless you brine) It looks like the cheese is what is killing you. You had 5 slices (5oz) at dinner. It’s also adding quite a bit to your sodium, which was 4294 mg. Little high. Try correcting the turkey and lessening your cheese a little bit. 20 NC is really hard to maintain but you’re doing Awesome!
