I'm going to do something painful, something crazy to motivate me.

I need solid evidence that I see EVERY day to make me believe that I really need to lose this weight.

I am having a friend take pictures of me in a sports bra and panties (or short shorts) front, back, and side and I am going to post them...don't worry, they won't be x-rated...

I am also going to put them on my fridge.

God, I'm scared. But this may be what I need.

Hubby did that... and yes, it helped to motivate him, too!

About two years ago radio and CNN host Glenn Beck ran a program where he invited people to take photos of themselves in such a way. His premise was that there is nothing in the world that makes a person lose weight faster than having their image viewed by others. He called it "Scared skinny". You sent to him the images of you in skimpy outfits that were totally unbecoming to people of our stature. Additionally you sent your current weight and goal weight. If you did not make it to your goal?-he would display the bad pictures during his CNN tv show. Thus the title. I almost registerd, but I have a hard time with cameras. Whatever you can use to motivate yourself Kiki, I'm all for. For me, I just want to see "less than" 200 lbs one more time in my life.

That is a really brave thing to do Kiki. I don't think many people would have the guts. Way to go!

Do whatever it takes to lose the weight. The best reward is SUDDENLY going into a fitting room and not feeling bad when you look in the mirror. Or seeing the weight scale at a number you could only have dreamed of months before. Those rewards are better than any junk food that will only satisfy you temporarily and in the long run make you feel sick and lousy... :)

You are much more brave person than I am. Is "brave" the word for which I am searching. I'll continue to search. Good luck. Whatever works - as long as it works!

Me, I have thought I looked pretty good atall my weights. I almost have the opposite of annorexia, I look in the mirror and see me as skinnier than I am in reality. This of course is a blessing AND a curse. Blessing in that my self-esteem never really suffered, curse in the lack of motivation to lose it causes :)

Gosh, Sima!! That's a lucky "disease" to have, LOL. Even when I weighed 117 lbs... I would stand in front of the mirror and pinch fat, =O Now that I've gained.. I look back at pix and think.. man, what a skinny minny!!
