I did a 5k race. The weather wasn't the nicest, it was drizzly and cold. I was wearing mittens! Don't know if I would do it again as all it seemed I was doing is dodging people. The first k was the worse. And then my friend broke her necklace around the 2 k mark. So we got going again, weaving around people and around the 4 k mark I lost her. She fell back and couldn't get around some people and then just couldn't get caught up to me after that. I finished in a time of 31:53 which is great for me. My friend finished in a time of 32:10 so she was close behind me! Anyway, after it was finished we just left as it was cold and rainy. I got home and it took me awhile to warm up again.

Didn't do much on the weekend. I have a bit of cold too. I did make cookies with my son on Saturday.

Happy Monday all!

Great job on the race! I hate running in the drizzly cold.. Seems like you can't quite have enough layers on to stay warm at the beginning and not be sweating your face off by the end! Dodging people at the beginning of races is never fun.. Boo.. A low key weekend sounds just fine to me! :)

That is a great time!! You did awesome! My uncle is doing an ugly sweater 5K in December. I think he's crazy, but he loves running. At least you got out there and did it, even though the weather was crumby. Good for you!

Thanks everyone! I looked up the results online for the race. There were 1019 people in the 5k race. My official race time was 31:53 and I placed 495! Not bad, finishing in the top half of the pack!

Congrat's on the race! Must have felt fantastic to complete it without lugging an extra 30+ pounds around!
