I totally forgot to weigh in this morning, so I'm taking yesterday morning's weight. That weight number is good considering it's what I weighed before vacation.

The week has flown by. Busy, busy at work. I did a DVD workout at home Monday night, Tuesday evening I went for a half hour walk after supper, Wednesday off, yesterday I did a run at lunchtime and today I plan to do the same.

My eating has been better this week too. We did have a BBQ at work on Wednesday but I didn't go overboard. Tonight we have plans to go out for dinner and then to Niagara Falls to see the lights and fireworks. It will be a late night for my 5 year old but then he can sleep in tomorrow morning.

So, I had my physical this week too. According to my Dr. my weight is good. She did recommend more strength/core exercises. I have to go for fasting blood work to check my sugar levels as my dad is a type 2 diabetic. She is also going to send me for a consult in regards to get a bladder wall fix. Apparently having children will do this to you!! I think it's probably a good thing to get it over with now at my age as I will recover quicker. Plus the benefits would be that I won't have to get up in the middle of the night anymore to pee! This also gives me incentive to keep my weight down too.

Moving down!!! I've been trying harder this week at watching the calories and doing a little bit extra moving. Thanks to all my buddies for giving me some ideas/advice to get the weight loss going again! It's helped!! While out running the last 2 days, I have tried to incorporate some 'sprints' into my running. They don't last long, just hydro pole to the next hydro pole. But I've realized that I need to do this to help increase my overall pace as it has been slacking.

The last 2 nights have been busy as well. I always put up some fresh blueberries in the freezer so that I have them for my oatmeal or for baking. Well, it's blueberry season and so I've been at it, putting blueberries in freezer bags. Last night I had to go to get more as I need a few more for the freezer and some for eating. My son was delighted with the fresh blueberries saying they were 'super sweet'! I've also been busy with laundry as we have vacation next week and plan on leaving Saturday morning for the lake.

Tonight after work we will have to go to my parents and do the odd jobs need to done so that I can go on vacation with a clean conscience that they have been taken care of! Plus tonight will be packing and cleaning. Busy, busy!

Feeling discouraged today 'cause my weight doesn't want to go below the 170s. And for the life of me I don't know what I can do. I workout 4-5 times per week which is what I've always done since I started this site. I know I've gotten a bit lack a daisy when it comes to my eating but with more muscle on me now I shouldn't have to worry about the few extras or should I as more muscle means a better metabolism? Do I need to be more strict and stay that way forever? Or is it that I need to workout longer? But what happens the next time that I get to a stale mate and things stall again. Will that mean I have to increase my activity again? Things to figure out as I go along. I know that currently this weight is just a number and I should just go by how I feel. But the number is there and it's not below 170. Sigh!
