Survived the weekend. It was actually very productive. I spent the day at my parents' on Saturday. My dad (almost 82 and not very quick) and I managed to get a hold of the 5 new cows and get neck straps on them. I'm so grateful that they were for the most part willing to be handled. It also made my dad feel good that he still 'has it' to manage the cows!! I also got bedding ready for the week for him and clean his big truck. My son (he's almost 5) helped a great deal. He shoveled snow, shoveled sawdust in the truck and 'helped' drive the tractor. We also put up the Christmas tree for my mom. My dad went out in the afternoon and bought one. Today my arms are sore. I don't know what did it, either the cows or sawing a piece off the tree. Yesterday we finished decorating the tree for my parents and then my son and I went grocery shopping and then home to clean the house. We cleaned the 2 bathrooms and cleaned the floors, did the laundry and then I worked on getting things ready for lunches and made broccoli soup. Busy, busy. Still didn't get the Christmas cards. Maybe tomorrow...
As for my eating, things were good this weekend. I didn't go over board as well, I was at my parents and they don't eat any junk food. My mom does cook old school with lots of fat and butter though. I just watch my portions.
I got out for a run today at lunchtime. It was great weather. About 38F here and no wind, makes for a great run. We did 3.5 k and I had a couple of fast k, faster then I've done for awhile. So I felt good about that.

Maintaining...barely!! 'Tis the season. We had a Christmas party yesterday at work with lots of sweets and cupcakes. Plus the my fellow co-workers are starting to hand out small gifts. So far I've got a pound of reese peanut butter cups and 10 smarties ornaments. Plus a gift card to Tim Hortons where I can indulge in more donuts or muffins!

Got out for a run today on lunch time. We got some snow yesterday, so the sidewalks were messy, slushy and slippery. But the weather is fantastic with lots of sun and little who could pass hose conditions up. Gotta get some vitamin D!!!

Plans for the weekend - off to the farm tomorrow. My dad bought 5 cows that we will have to get a hold of and put neck straps on. Then the usual Saturday chores, prepping things for the week so that it's easy for my parents to do the daily chores. Hopefully, I can clean our house a bit this weekend too as my DH is working. I need to tackle the Christmas cards as well. It's getting to be crunch time for getting all the things done for the holidays!

I need to keep reminding myself of my eating. If I don't want to record it, then don't eat it!

Up slightly on the scale. Did a workout yesterday at lunch with my coworker. We did our 6 minute workout and then went for a 2.5 k run. It was soo hard. I had to stop and walk. I felt sooo frustrated. It's like I've lost my stamina. Normally I can run a kilometer in 6.5 min but lately its been taking me 7 minutes. I just want things back to where I was before the surgery.

Went over to my parents' farm last night. My dad went to the sale and bought six cows. So we had to catch them and put neck straps on and get them fed. It was a bit of exercise! Luckily my DH was around to help because my dad (he's almost 82) can not move fast enough. One animal did knock him down because didn't get out of the way. But he was ok, he might have a bruise or two today. I'll be over tomorrow to see how things are and get bedding and feed ready for them for the week.

So plans for the weekend - Santa Claus parade tomorrow! and then my work childrens' Christmas party on Sunday. My hubby is working nights though for the weekend, so he'll miss the fun.
