Up a little but not too bad after dinner out then the theater. Cold is better and going into work. Will target about 700 calories today. Happy Halloween!

Work will be a nightmare especially since I am going in. I'm sitting on the bus tight now in bumper to bumper Washington, D.C. Traffic. If I was working from home, I would have been sitting at the computer working at 8 am. I lose three hours a day to commuting! At least I have my iPad. Have a good one!

3 hour commute sucks. Bet that is just because of traffic. I have an hour and a bit commute each way. On a train so no traffic to contend with, thankfully, though there are issues from time to time. Thank goodness for your ipad but you still aren't getting work done. Hope the day goes quick when you get there. And hope for a quicker commute home because it's Halloween.

I just read about the MIT diet and I am intrigued. Good for you in achieving your goals! I think its so important to track what you eat as this has made all the difference for me and so easy on this website. I used to live in VA and slug it into DC so I sympathize with your plight!

Yes, only 24 miles. But nearly all in heavy traffic. Thank goodness for this bud. Happy rider for 11 years.

24 miles isn't far at all to be that long in traffic. I don't know how far my ride is - I should google that - hold on - apparently only 23 miles. I thought it was longer! You learn something new every day :)

Hi Got the Munchies! Had to get off the bus and walk a few blocks, so late in replying. Yes, slugging it is an interesting concept. I'm lucky to have a park and ride three miles from my house and the bus drops me about a half mile from my work. So I get a little extra exercise, too. Tracking stuff on FatSecret has been the key, but Carson Chow's revelation that you could track calories long term (I do month to month for an average calorie goal) really helped me understand that I could 'cheat' so long as I made up for it with lower calories later. Yeah, the ride is only about 30 minutes when not in bumper to bumper traffic, but I hop on a main artery about four miles from my bus stop and it's pretty stop and go the entire way. Just glad I'm not driving it myself anymore, although thousands do.

PS. That's a little more than an hour ONE WAY. But with waiting for the bus, etc., adds up to about three hours a day.
