Yesterday was a bad day and eating was crazy. My father passed away yesterday evening and I was at hospice from 4 am till a little after 7 pm. My nephews and nieces were with me as their grandfather passed and we all went out to dinner, we needed the bonding time and going to a public place took our minds off of our loss. This is going to be a sad time for me as my father has been the main focus of my life since his first stroke 3 years ago. His death has been a blessing as the area of his brain damaged by this second stroke was massive and in the center area of his brain, a blessing but still so very sad for my family. Thank God for my nephew Steve, he has spent the day with me and will be back on Friday to spend the day with me, he is a great kid and his wife is wonderful for letting him spend his time with me. I will be ok but it may take some time. God has given a great gift to me as dad would have been in a very bad state and his care would have drained me. I would have done anything for dad but it would have left me no time for myself. So I have thanked God that dad is now without pain and is with my mother in heaven. I now have an opportunity to go back to work a resume my life.
