Kathy Vanish's Journal, 30 September 2013

Well, I haven't recorded an entry in a while and thought I should update everyone on my progress. THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY! I haven't gained any weight, but seem to have stalled. I am eating more fruits and veggies at least 5 - 6 servings daily and drinking my water. I am at a loss to know what to do.

I went to my annual OBGYN appointment and for the first time in 3 years he thought I looked good. I asked him about the weight loss and he said that with the hormonal imbalance and the taking of Zoloft I am going to struggle. He also said that I am healthy and since I feel great not to worry about it and just keep doing what I am doing.

I have gone down a size in my exercise pants. I had to buy a new pair for my Live Zumba Class that I started taking on Thursday because when I was jumping around I almost lost my pants. Not good, especially since I wasn't wearing my most attractive pair of undies.

I have been exercising 4-6 days a week for the last 5 weeks. Well, at least I try to.

Well, if anyone has any suggestions about how to continue, I would greatly appreciate some input.

It's so hard to stay motivated when you're not losing. And then to have the doc tell you you're going to struggle, that's even worse. But, if the doc tells you that you're healthy and look good, that's a plus. I don't know what you could do to change things up, you've been doing so well with exercise. The only thing then is calorie intake. Are you recording everything? If not, start, if so keep doing it, and take a look at what you're eating. Keep doing your exercise and eating right and I'm sure eventually you'll see more losses. Don't lose hope!!

Kathy, I think you should do exactly what you've been doing. You look good, you feel good, you're wearing smaller clothes, you're healthy... You're in the right path! There's nothing to change! Keep doing what you're doing and any loss will be just profit! What's a number on a scale against so many evidences?
