HealthyBabs's Journal, 10 November 2010

Mornin' buddies...rise and shine! Just finished 36 minutes on treadmill...that was 15 on Mon, 21 on Tues and now 36 today. :))) I had a goal to do 26 minutes today but once I was almost there I felt really good and said "SELF... why don't you keep going instead of stopping just because you hit that goal." Why should I let the clock decide that instead of my body. So...I kept going and as I was I thought about how much earlier I would need to get up in the morning to be able to fit in my program as I continue to shape that into what I want it to be. I can (and will) commit to getting up at 5:45 that is as early as I can manage. Start work out at 6 and finish at 7, breakfast, journal, watch am news, plan dinner, shower, dress, smooch hubby goodbye and out the door by 8 (8:15 at latest). Half hour drive to the office, plan my day in my head while driving. Hit the office by 9 and begin the 2nd part of my day!
Gosh, I love my life!!!!

Good for you Babs!! Once you get your schedule all worked out it will just become part of what you do. I love working out in the mornings. Not to say I wouldn't rather be sleeping some days. lol but I find that working out in the morning has many benefits for me and the way I feel through out the day. Glad it is working for you. Happy Hump Day!!

Such a positive attitude you have! Good for you for listening to what your body can do, and not obeying the clock. Just remember that sometimes it goes the opposite way too, and it is not a regression, it is just something going on with your body that says I need a little break today. At least that is what I have experienced. The next day it is usually okay again and I can do what I want with my workout. Keep it up kiddo!

Wow, that's an amazing morning schedule. Just think....if you could get hubby to come in by you while you're on the treadmill, you could kiss him goodbye in advance of leaving, which would save yourself 10 minutes, so you could sleep in that much extra!!! LOL!!
