DSs move in/move out trip - part 2! Made it to Tallahassee yesterday... On time for me, but delayed over 3 hours for DS. But that gave me the time to get in some groceries to help me stay my course & get settled in the hotel. So, no complaints... Except that the cable doesn't work in the fitness room (they're changing cable companies apparently & haven't gotten to that room yet -- thanks goodness for iPods!)

Did hear a song on my iPod that made me chuckle though as I worked out -- He's Mine by Rodney Atkins. That song always reminded me of my oldest who I'm with now for the rest of the trip. He's always been a challenge to parent, he means well but doesn't always make the best choices, but as the song goes "he's mine & he'll always be the best thing that ever happened to me... And I love him unconditionally"!

But before I get going on my day of moving him out of his house hear & back home, I'll start my day praying for serenity. And again, I'll pray, breathe, journal & express my way this one day and each one meal, moment, bite & emotion at a time. Saying goodbye to my youngest was hard as it always is, but I'll see him again in Oct possibly (he has fall break & we may be able to coordinate a trip to see my Mom together -- it's a 4-5 hour drive for him). I did nt make the best food choices that day (Tues) but onward I go as I keep putting one foot in front of the other on this journey toward healthy eating & living. Today, I'm grateful for another day to build my healthy road, a safe haven here on FS with all of you my wonderful & supportive FS friends, my family & other friends, having one-on-one time on this part of the trip with my oldest & having the health and wealth to live this life I love! Hope you are all doing well & to check journals tonight -- sure miss connecting with each of you more regularly! Xoxox

The song sounds good, Ruth. LOL. Il will have to listen to it. I stupidly went to the gym here today sans iPod. OMG, i will NEVER do that again. I hope you have better weather where you are than we do. Have a safe trip. You're such a loving mom.

Hi Ruth, I've missed you and sorry I wasn't around to support you during these difficult days but you seem to be doing fine - a few glitches along the way - but that's life and you've recognized that this is just one week in a lifetime of learning (I think that's how you put it). It is difficult to leave your son behind but it isn't long until October. And you get to take the older one home. You are doing very well. Look forward to having coffee on line with you soon. :) hugs.
