True confessions....

Dastardly pounds! They weren't lost, they were just hiding! I got on the scale yesterday & almost yelped. Okay, so I've been badly constipated. I bought some probiotics (I'd been out of them) and the problem is resolving. Today over a pound was gone since yesterday!

I've decided to record this weight unless it continues to hang around. Granted, I did bake a birthday cake (Banana Fudge) for my partner's twin grandsons' 13th birthday (even though they live in the Bay Area). We lit candles on their cake and sent them an Instagram of it, with us saying happy birthday & that we love them (didn't sing because an Instagram video is short). Then we had cake and coffee for breakfast.

I sent several pieces of cake out to my partner's 93-year-old mom (who LOVED it), but we have slowly been disposing of what's left. Okay, not so slowly, as their birthday was the 10th. It was a healthy recipe I used, low-fat with a light glaze instead of thick frosting, but who am I kidding! I entered the recipe in my cookbook & tried to record what I ate, but I didn't exactly cut the cake into 18 equal pieces. I have been pretty consistent in going over my RDI, and haven't been burning as many calories.

On the bright side, we went shopping at the Tommy Bahamas Outlet & I fit best in a size 6 pants, and the size medium sweater I loved was just too baggy! I bought some size 8 jeans from Costco & they fit like a dream. My Zumba & other exercise clothes fit fine.

My new Zumba pants do require that I lose a few pounds for maximum comfort before I wear them when I go to Vegas in September. I hope to go to a Party in Pink Zumba event there, and bought some black capris with pink trim, and a pink sleeveless burn-out top. The top would look best with my pink/purple exercise bra, which is a bit tight on me now.

No more cake baking! No more 1000 calories in snacks days. Back to honestly recording everything. Yep, some of those ginger chews snuck into my intake; partner came home with 3 bags of them. They're only 16 calories a piece, but when you don't count each one, they realllllly add up, lol.

So, this is a cautionary tale. The inspirational still lurks in my background, as I'm still 125 pound lighter than my heaviest weight (which was well before FS). I will not let my story become one of woe, darkness, and despair. Hahahaha! I cannot stay serious, sorry.

You all are an antidote for all of the bad stuff; you help me with your humor, determination, successes, faith, and caring support of one another.

Love it! No more cake baking! I've not wanted anything chocolate since seeing The Help. Maybe you need a wax cake for those instagrams :-)

Haha, Bella! I got up from writing the above & baked an Oatmeal Bake (FS recipe) because I had to use some blueberries one of my Zumba & tea buddies picked & shared with our group of four. It smells really good....moderation, I know....

Love the idea of sending the instagram. And glad the "issue' of your stomach is resolving. I am sure you will have those extra pounds off soobn.

LOL...I just ate far too many grapes - the whole time telling myself 'at least its not cake' - remind me how that moderation thing goes again?

Moderation for what we know today is a lot better than what it was for us a couple of years ago. Remember how far we have come!
