POWENCH's Journal, 29 September 2008

Well I did the carbs up big time yesterday...It really helped me to realize how I used to eat. I allowed myself to indulge in some foods for my Birthday that I have not been making or eating since I started WW. Boy the calories really go off the scale when you start eating with old habits.

I really did not think I ate that poorly or that much, but guess what, I did, hence the very large butt that is following me around. I could not even exercise enough to do any good given how I used to eat.

I hope I did not do enough damage to destroy me at this weeks weight in. I did not go over my "flex" points, and I have been exercising like a crazy person.

I added a major squats workout on Sunday as I got some information this week from a Physical Therapist who told me my hips are completely screwed up cause I have one leg that is signifcantly shorter than the other. I have been compensating for 48 years and now have the back problems to show for that compensation. As a result I have very little strength in my butt cause I make my back do all the work. I am going to start working on ways to tone up the lazy leg and butt. Too bad I didn't find this out 25 years ago...

And so the journey continues to eat right and be in better shape so on my next birthday...I will be able to celebrate how awesome I look and feel!

You've done great so far! Just keep it up! :) Sometimes we all need a reminder of why we don't eat that way any more.
