Good morning!

It's Saturday, it's vacation time, and it's just great all over!

Check out the weekend's weather forecast!

For you Americans, 20 degrees Centigrade is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. It's gonna FEEL a lot warmer still, and these are EXCELLENT temperatures for Denmark. It's the perfect temperature for us to be outside, and I'm hoping that we're gonna spend quite a bit of time doing that. :)

...

The weight? I'm down 100 grams. Nothing really worth mentioning. It's no new low this week, not even lower than last week. Actually, I'm UP by a pound.

However, I'm pretty sure the culprit in that was yesterday, being out with Wife all day.

It's not that we did anything bad. I consumed about 1800 calories of the 2100 allowed, and it was mostly good choices, but it WAS also a few things saltier than expected, and it was restaurant food. It'll always mess with me a bit.

I don't really care, though. It's was a FUN day, and I think both Wife and I needed it. We thoroughly enjoyed just being out, walking, enjoying each others company and the weather.

...

We ate at a little burger joint for lunch - my first meal. I had a home made pita with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and shredded ham. A smart choice, but the bread was a lot heavier than I expected. It was great though, and I calculated it to the best of my abilities.

Through the afternoon we had a small ice cream, worth about 200 calories. Nothing much.

Dinner was at a Greek restaurant. Plenty of salads, though there also was a lot of oil throughout the food. Seeing this I added 3 table spoons of oil to my registered food, and then added what ever else I deemed was in the food. I wanted to be on the safe side to drop some weight for today. Too bad it didn't happen.

The food was great though. I mostly had chicken breast and salmon, but also a few other things here and there. Nothing was really bad, and most was actually very acceptable considering my mission.

I think the lack of weight loss today is basically due to salt, and just whatever else affects us now and then. No biggie.

...

Yesterday, Wife had TWO breakthrough experiences. I thought it was SO awesome. Both are related to her beginning to work out at the gym with me.

The first thing was that she proudly came home from work telling me how she could tell that the boxes that she normally carries back and forth at work was feeling a LOT lighter than they usually do. She could literally feel that she was stronger.

Then, later in the day, she was putting on a light jacket, and happened to see her upper arm flexing, and realized that she actually had put on a nice bit of muscle! She was all proud, shocked, and deservedly so!

So, we're going to the gym again today. She didn't get to workout yesterday as we left for the fun day early, so we're gonna go today. I can handle a bonus day at the gym. LOL.

I'm still debating whether I'm gonna do the strength training, since I did it yesterday, or whether I should just do some cardio and give my muscles time to rest and grow. I'll probably go for the latter. We'll see.

...

So, today is Saturday. It's Indulgence Day.

I have promised myself to NOT go to the candy store. I might get a small bag of candy at the supermarked, or a bar of chocolate, but that's all.

My calories today are mostly gonna come from actual food with actual nutritional value. I have 3500 calories to consume, so there is plenty of room for everything.

...

I did wake up hungry. I felt the urge to have breakfast, but a huge glass of water and the distraction of writing this really helped. It's wrapped up and put away, and the hunger is 100% gone. Lunch is in three hours and I'll have no problem waiting. Before we know it, it's time to hit the gym, and time will be flyin'!

...

Yesterday, I moved around a LOT more than I normally do. We were essentially walking all day, and I also did my morning walk and gym workout.

Check out my stats
!

It felt good to be moving so much, and it really wore us down, and we got a GREAT night's sleep last night. The neighbor's dog was keeping us awake the night before, so we really needed the sleep. We're both feeling like completely different persons today - in a great way!

...

So, today's mission is to do reasonably well, stay the hell away from the candy shop and to work out. I can do this. I'm on track, and I'm on my mission. Let's do this!

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- SLEEP!
- A great and fun and grand day yesterday!
- Coffee!
- The ability to kill the morning hunger I felt for a little bit. Who needs breakfast anyways?! :)
- Wife for spending the AWESOME day withe me yesterday!
- Wife for seeing results and sharing them with me!
- Weather!
- Vacation!
- Weather AND Vacation! :)

Hi Kingkeld, In the USA we're all used to Fahrenheit. It is in the 90s here. It was attempted to go metric 30-plus years ago and it didn't work. We still use inches and feet too. Anyway, hope you have a good vacation. A good career to get vacation time is a teacher. Many get the whole summer off. My niece gets lots of time off.

91 here today but only feels like 115 ... humid, LOL. I prefer the dry heat of the deserts. And dessert. MMM... I must be hungry - my mind is wandering.
