Protein shakes? Does anyone have any they can suggest? In the mornings I'm rushing to get out the door. If I stop and get breakfast I'm spending about $5 a day. The whole oatmeal thing doesn't work. I just get hungry and crave sweets by 10 am. Plus when I eat something at my desk someone takes that exact moment to come talk to me. I swear they were all waitresses in a previous life and have perfect timing. So I'm thinking protein shakes. Something I can buy and drink in the car or mix up at work. I figure the protein will keep me satisfied but I want to keep it around 300-400 calories. Anyone? Suggestions? Fart noises?

Hi, I love to drink my protein shakes in the morning because I cant get up early enough to make a whole meal. I use Gold Standard whey protein vanilla flavor, 1 scoop about 120 cal and 24 g of protein. Mix with almond milk about 60 calories unless you get unsweetened and then 30, half a banana 50 cal, 7 to 10 ice cubes, splash of vanilla extract, sprinkle some cinnamon, and add some sugar free mrs. butterworth syrup, just a tablespoon is like 5 calories or 10. not much. put all that in the belnder and you get cinnamon bun protein shake. mmmm mmm keeps me pretty full all morning.

I have to order my designer whey today... as I offered before I can give you some to sample (I have 3 flavors) before you take the plunge. I also use my blender at home and bring them with me. The premades are so expensive and don't taste great. My favs are my strawberry banana and this one ... scoop double choc powder, 1/3 - 1/2 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons whipped PB (less fat and cals), about 4-5 ice cubes and a cup of unsweetened almond milk. It's a reeses PB cup!

It's not a protein shake, but I have the same breakfast every morning, and I never seem to get tired of it. My fiancé thinks it's gross though... at 4:30am I mix up a serving of oatmeal (190 calories), Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey - Double Rich Chocolate (120 calories), and a 1/2 cup Silk Pure Almond Milk - Unsweetened Original (15 calories) and let it sit in the fridge while I work out, get breakfast and lunch prepared, etc… and I normally eat it around 6:00am. You could try doing something similar by making it at home, letting it sit while you drive to work, then eating it at work. If anyone bothers you, chew with your mouth open to scare ‘em away! :D Although ChrissyG13 suggestion does sound delicious!!

I buy protein powder from Hy-vee, it's sold in a black bag and I can't remember the name off hand, but it is delicious and about $12 for a 1 lb bag or $22 for a 2 lb bag. I've used the strawberry and vanilla and they are both really good. I'm not a big fan of any chocolate protein powders, I've never found one I like. I use the powder with soy milk, so in total it's about 180 calories, but you can add fruit and ice to make a smoothie and that is good too.

Garden of Life Raw Meal, meal replacement + I add one scoop of Sunwarrior Vegan Chocolate Protein powder to it. Mix it with almond or soymilk. You can use the real deal, but calories are through the roof! :)

I have a cup of cereal (Honey nut cheerios) at work. No milk. I usually wait until my stomach growls then scoop a cup. I leave my 1 cup measuring cup at work with my cereal. I like it because it has the crunch & the sweet I need! Or I do a Slim Fast shake if I need some chocolate. I know they are not the healthiest, but it does the trick for me.

I love the Atkins Caffe Caramel Shake. It has coffee in it and it is sooo delicious.

Lately, I have read a lot into intermittent fasting. Www the theiflife com. This guy completely solved my "Hungry at ten" problem. You should check out his ebook. It changed the way I see my way of eating quite drastically, and it just might help you too.
