Hi everyone! Welcome to a 4-day work week!! I will be confused of the day all week long! So, here's to Tuesdays that feel like Mondays!

I had a great weekend! Except for my diet, which I pushed aside. Not on purpose, I ate well for breakfast and lunch, it was dinner that did it for me. However, I made better choices than I would have several months ago.

I got a kitten on Saturday! She's 6 weeks old, which I believe is a little young to be taken from her momma. I talked to the vet and brought her in for her first shots. He said as long as she's eating, she should be okay being away from her momma. It made for a fun weekend!

Saturday, a group of friends and I went to Cracker Barrel. Normally I would choose Country Fried Steak and starchy sides like mashed potatoes, mac 'n cheese, etc. Instead, I had Spicy Grilled Catfish with carrots and green beans. The only downfall, the biscuits and apple butter :(

My family didn't do a cookout this year for Labor Day. Instead we went to a local burger place, where I purposefully chose the grilled chicken wrap instead of the Black 'n Bleu Burger that I was craving. Again, the downfall, the seasoned curly fries... :(

I gained nearly 3 lbs this weekend. However, by keeping my calories in check the rest of the week I should be back down by Friday. *Hoping* anyway!

Hope everyone enjoyed their 3-day weekend and look forward to the 4-day work week!

It's the salt from the foods... drink lots of water today and tomorrow and you will see a drop back down! Congrats on getting a baby kitty!!! Do you know how to post pics on here? If so post a pic of your new furry friend!!! :)

Thanks Chris! I searched and found how to insert the picture of Penelope! I'm very sorry to hear about your fiance's family cat. That is just horrible!

Very cute kitty!!! It is great you are seeing the differences in your choices ... and I agree with Chris ... 3 lbs is likely just a fluctuation some of which may be from sodium ... just keep plugging along!!
