ame16's Journal, 19 April 2013

Weighed myself at the Doctor today. Was 143! She said she thought the scale was over by about 4 lbs which sounds a lot better but who knows. I don't think I really eat THAT bad. I see other people eating three times as much as me and fast food at that. I never eat out! Frustrated and wondering if this is just my body type. I just want to eat everything now because eating fruit and veggies wasn't working.

Keep eating those veggies. also try getting more protein because it will keep you full longer and keep you from wanting to binge as much. Also really try to cut the processed food. If it can stay good for year in a box should you be eating it??

I agree and have been mostly following all those rules. I hardly ever eat processed food except for chips. The last few days I have eaten some muffins and things out of frustration. I also know that eating whole foods curbs your appetite. It just didn't seem to be working?

I also spend a lot of money on all natural, gluten free and organic products. I can't eat bread so I never eat McDonald's, Subway or anything like that. The only thing I can think of is that I'm not active enough or maybe it takes a while for your metabolism to kick in, in the beginning. I'm not going to give up but really need to get creative with cardio because dvds just aren't my thing.

If you look at the pie graph on your diet calendar it says you are only getting 10% protein, 47% carbs, 43% fat. You NEED to up your protein a lot! Go for lean meats like chicken, fish, and turkey. Then you can keep the fat and calories down while getting your protein. Go check out http://scoobysworkshop. com/calorie-calculator/ This will help a lot. Don't give up. Just change what you are doing.

Ok, it says I should get between 25-40% protein. Depending on weight loss goals. This will be next weeks challenge to get at least 25% a day.

Nah just eat more meat, eggs or maybe even a protein bar if it is a struggle.

I agree. Try some of the the tips I have listed on my bio. That's what I initially did when I had a knee injury and the method proved itself to work. Protein is my number one source, with natural fats second. My body doesnt respond well to carbs and I totally feel it when I try to exercises afterwards. Low grade fuel in this off-road machine is no bueno!
