Time to go shopping again? Thought bought more than enough for two weeks mainly buying cat food they seem to be happy with Iams.Studing closely at the Atkins schedule and trying to make a week from it letting go of my only condiment Sriacha because, of the hidden sugars which might be slowing things down next week have business travel plans so I have to get what I can take together to take mixer cup and dried whey and a few things like that with low to zero carb. Never enough low carb vegetables...
Rutabaga with butter and olive oil is the only temptation it has high carbs who knew I could eat 3 servings of crackers with the one cup of vegetable! The crystal light seems to be curbing the candy desire so horray.
Most of the time I had been eating things with high carbs in generous portions but not high calorie - Rutabaga in butter with grated red cabbage, hot peppers in olive oil and vinegar, also maybe salmon with this, but thinking about the three cups of rutabaga and two and a half cups of red cabbage plus hot peppers makes me think it had to be about 200 in carb . No wonder why weight had been plateaued/\.

If Rutabaga is one of your favorite vegetables try mixing it with something lower in carbs to balance out the meal. Also, use it as a celebration meal after something great happens. Since it is a veggie, it can't be all bad. Before eliminating it all together see what added vitamins and minerals you would be losing. Good Luck! Plateaus are no fun, however, your body might be readjusting to your new eating habits and just needs a little recalibration time. Don't give up, you are doing fantastic.

I try to shop only once a week and I always seem to be out of something. :) I only count calories, not carbs, so I am no help in that department. All I can do is wish you luck and hope that whatever you choose to do will help you break through your plateau!

I too try to only shop once a week and if I need to go back I try to go straight to the item I need and get out go there. You've done great just keep it up and you will get there.

Some things for me even portioning it out making a smaller amount tend to go back and make more from scratch. I was avoiding the market all together temptation even if eating before shopping.Your Kathy about the vitamins, I will work some in. As for the candy ah peanut butter anything in candy was my favorite. Thank you everyone this helps tremendously!

I was pretty tempted to start buying Crystal Light but I decided against it mainly because I don't want the chemical 'sweetners' and because it is pretty obvious that my Atkins bars had kicked me out of Ketosis. I use one packet of Splenda a day in a cup of Good Earth Vanilla Chai tea with a tbs of half and half...it makes my sweet craving very happy. I also found that the 'good' flavored carbonated water (I use Poland Spring) is great with supper. I don't drink soda but I am used to a glass of wine or something so now the Carbonated water goes in the wine glass. For me it really makes a difference! My favorite salad is 1 1\2 cups lettuce and a 1\4 cucumber all chopped up with 2 tbs of Hellmans and 1 tsp of creamed horseradish and 1\4 cup of the Italian shredded cheese.I don't know why but I could happily live on that right now. Then I have broccoli or asparagus or something off the 1 cup veggie list. Of course I am counting carbs but I know a lot of protein kills me and I am looking for ways to keep my fats high. Tonight I am throwing leftover chicken into the salad with hard boiled egg. I was thinking MIM but I think it can wait for tomorrow because I feel too crammed if I add that too. Also I need a new macaroon can to sniff lol!

I also use sweet leaf berry flavor with a lot of ice and seltzer and lemon,it is equally refreshing.( not drinking much alcohol but used to love hard cider with seltzer one bottle of cider lasted three days, but if your an apple fiend the the green apple lambic beer very heavy to drink, but again drank 1/5 lambic and the rest seltzer with ice and a drop of berry stevia. Like an old soda fountain drink.).***Also a huge fan of Poland spring sparkling. Love crystal light but might start weening there too because it is artificial in flavoring as well.Everything you described is wonderful be careful with helman's has food starch and sugar in the ingredients. I have yet to find one that is void of starch and sugar. Tried home made once it was too heavy and the richness stayed all day. I will peek at Atkins site again for different vegetables, please tell me how the chia seeds taste, tiny bag for 7.99 I'd try if they taste good.
