The candy fan's Journal, 11 April 2013

Sigh not hungry lately, packing stuff for business trip next week, still not sure what to take these days except for the container of whey,a can of coconut milk, wonder if I could boil a few eggs for later not to eat on plane just so I wouldn't have to be bothered with looking food for a while. I can live with instant coffee and scrounge for 1/2& 1/2 definitely taking stevia. The small nightmare is wearing a dress, I have lots of things for night time and dinner but not daylight and it will be hot.
The only one that fits that is light colored chiffon and makes me look like a cup cake.I gave away a few boring dresses that would have accommodated my shape and what is left is things that are suitable for a cruise or sunglasses.
Trying to figure out something exciting for lunch been making coconut soup for lunch with a little cabbage not bad today feels more like something else. Never made it to the store but my friend went for me he brought stuff he could enjoy when he comes over, but the problem is working from home those things are very tempting. For example:love corn chips even though highly allergic the reaction is never worth it, yet contemplating could licking the chip and could it be caloric and if so how allergic of a reaction. Then there is ice cream told him get low carb nope regular. He said I would be less likely to eat the whole thing with regular, sigh more like just as likely to eat the whole thing either way.

Cupcakes are cute! :P I wouldn't take any chances by licking the corn chips if you are allergic. Do you like carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, or nuts? That could be something to snack on.

Tee hee the dress is cute but not right for the occasion. I know used to eat them and get to stay home from school so they had some virtues .But now it's like delayed reaction puffed eyes I can live with out. Almonds are on my list thanks for reminding will go shopping later. Got to be careful with carbs in my case there are few vegetables I don't like. No Okra or plantains I tried them and they are just not for me.

Business trip huh? I do that a lot. When spending an overnight I always ask for a business suite that has a refrigerator and then find a supermarket nearby that I can stock up on healthy things to eat. That way when I do go out to eat, I don't overindulge because I am starving. Keep in mind, I am used to working from home and always have food a step away if I have a snack attack. Allergic reaction that's not fun and you are still willing to take the risk? I wouldn't do it, even a lick. As you said, they aren't in your plan therefore they don't exist. Next time, send him with a list of exactly what you want. Let him get what he wants too, but then at least you will have what you can eat and won't be tempted. As for the dress, will a pair of nice slacks and a blouse work just as well? Who says women always have to wear a dress. Believe it or not, except for my little black dress (everyone needs one of those) I do own a dress. I have a few black skirts if the situation warrents one, but have found slacks and a blouse works everytime and is always more comfortable in the long run. Have fun on the trip!

You have good ideas, I just need the one dress than it is the usual office clothes. We sometimes take a group picture and noted a few years wearing same outfit, the other ladies seem to wear skirts or dresses just for the one occasion. One thing about getting to travel was the groceries stores, in England then had a can of called American franks with Spaghetti,or in Virginia oat meal called White wedding with a free tumbler...Netherlands had gummies called Katjaa looked like monkies tasted like heaven. Thank you for the well wishes I hope your husband feels better.
