I ordered a bunch of new Medifast items and I've got to say that I really liked the honey mustard pretzels! The parmesan cheese puffs are decent, definitely a good stand in for pop-corn or chips as a mindless munchie. I still have yet to try the cinnamon pretzels, but I expect good things.

Last night I tried the chocolate mind soft serve and was not a big fan. I think maybe there was not enough ice in the blender, so it was kind of runny. It also tasted very strongly of artificial sweetener. I tried the pancakes (original flavor) this morning and I wasn't impressed with those either. The pancake tasted a lot like the vanilla shake but with some baking powder to make it puff on the stove. Maybe it would be better without the sugar free syrup that I put on top, that may have just been overkill with the sweeteners. I still need to try the chocolate chip pancake and the peanut butter soft serve.

Some things that I decided to order again from my first order were the brownies (my favorite so far), scrambled eggs (made into an omelet taste a lot like egg beaters),chocolate shakes, and chocolate pudding. I also re-ordered the peanut butter crunch and got some new crunch bars to try, like chocolate mint crunch and s'mores crunch. I decided against getting any more soups or oatmeals. I don't know what I was thinking ordering hot foods when I live in TX... I almost never want hot food!

I did get a free week of food from MF with my last order, unfortunately they gave me more peach oatmeal (yuck) and some chicken noodle soup. I guess the chicken noodle soup may be good. The oatmeal will be ok with syrup on it. There were some other items in the free week like a mocha shake and... I cant remember what else.

Oh, I also decided to try the strawberry lemonade infusers and one of the fruit drink mixes... cranberry something. I tried the infuser and it tastes like strawberry jello in the form of a drink, nothing like lemonade. I do have some lemonade mix and I was thinking of mixing it together. The infusers are supposed to help boost me out of plateau... its probably kind of a scam since its just a caffeinated beverage with EGCG in it. I think EGCG is some natural substance found in tea, I looked it up not too long ago but I cant remember anymore.

You can always make the oatmeal into muffins. They are easier to eat and I like it better that way.

I think I tried that once and wasn't impressed... plus the oatmeal I have left is the peach and that one has such a strong peach flavor its hard to cover up. It may have been one of the other oatmeal recipes... its all kind of blurring together in my memory. I just remember that I was so excited to try some of those recipes and then everything just seemed to add baking powder, vanilla, and cinnamon and the combo wasn't agreeing with me. Do you have a favorite muffin recipe?
