Doing well. I talked with someone recently much better off than me in every way. Yet the person was probably more depressed about their life than I am about mine and the arthritis becoming more disabling, how I have so little matierally for a 48-yr-old in America and even qualify for a free government phone my income is so low. Everyone has their cross to bear sooner or later and mine has been longer than most people. On a good note not to dwell on the negative, I'm meeting new people. A woman in my building seems to becoming interested in me and she is my type. She looks a lot like a celebrity I like and that celebrity is a tough woman, and this woman is probably no one to mess around with either. I don't need brawling in my life so I guess things may not go anywhere there. I can buy a laptop this weekend with my increased credit balance and we are having a 'tax free' weekend in Massachusetts, so there are bound to be awesome sales. Those of you who know me know I love music, so I may buy an expensive stereo system instead. I will be able to buy the laptop when I get my taxes back in early spring, perhaps. Slowly, the amount of food I'm eating is going down since the Cortisone shots of almost three weeks ago. I am going to try to get around 1200 - 1600 calories a day until I'm in the mid 190s, so I have a ways to go and know to avoid bad carbs. I will do two vocabulary words tomorrow as it is so late. I AM buying a new computer or stereo this weekend...
Calories for Sunday August 8, 2010: 1900.

Glad to hear that you are doing well Glenn! A good woman may very well be all you need; but, it's definitely best to pass on the mean ones, life is too short. Hopefully, that will work out for you, give her a chance. Have a great day buddy!

Glad things are getting better and remember money can't buy happiness. I sometimes think at 58 I should have more but I enjoy my quality of life more. Glad to be out of the city and in a rural setting. For that we give up the ability to make a lot of money.

thanks for the comments. I don't even have the money to own anything. And may never at the rate things are going. It's OK. I would just like a larger apartment. Loosin' - I have nearly 2,000 CDs so they just have to be put on my computer by my BIL so I can download what I want. A stereo would be nice to play many CDs at random... also I do occasionally listen to free channels. One favorite was out of Phoenix, Arizona, that I haven't listened to in months and some on Cape Cod, Massachusetts too. info - women are hard to find here it is the alternative capital of the USA here for women in Northampton, Mass. It is NOT good being a guy - really just college girls in bars that is all that there is and those are just flings, if you can even get one. ranchwoman - money isn't everything - and doesn't buy and extra day down here either. But now as I age I get upset like about how the military basically kicked me out for arthritis saying I was too disabled to work, but Social Security then denied me benefits for six years, and I wasn't working hardly at all then except a bit in the beginning. Many family members were upset I wasn't working and I think some were behind that. I had agoraphobia badly then and was too fearful to go to school longer than a few days... Oh, well...
