,A very nice day! We got Beau his new DaBird toy replacement feather thing & he's delighted. We ran around, got Costa Rican pictures developed, and went to the cookware party.

The party was very nice; company from France that makes Silipat (not pampered chef, lol.). I only had a few bites of a fresh veggie pie with a bit of mozarella & parmesan (didn't eat crust), some steamed broccoli & 2 spears of roasted asparagus. One little taste of the ganache from my partner's piece of cake. Two cups of herbal tea. We ordered the healthy cooking starter kit and a plastic cake knife. My partner won a raffle prize of a small hand made glass dish made by one of the women hosting the party. Good people ; good time. Tomorrow we're meeting a couple at the Heathman for brunch. I checked out the menu & am planning ahead. I will be going to Zumba before brunch.

Dinner was difficult to record ; we went to Old Wives Tale, a wonderful place with an eclectic menu. I had a hard time choosing, so I had sides of three different dishes; quinoa and vegetable pilaf, Haitian vegetables & red beans. (Smooth, mellow spicy-sweet flavors of sweet potatoes, red beans, tomatoes, sweet red pepper, molasses, carrots, celery, onion, allspice, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, thyme, paprika & black pepper), and, finally, Braised Winter Vegetables (warm, sweet flavors of butternut squash, rutabagas, parsnips., green cabbage., red onion, garlic and fire roasted red peppers, braised in a sweet-sour sauce of balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, apple juice, caraway seeds, apinch of cayenne, tamari, olive oil, and a little cornstarch.)

Took my tastebuds to international heaven! I have leftover quinoa pilaf & braised vegetables to enjoy tomorrow for dinner.

I had a few chocolates when we got home; still within RDI (I think) but didn't get enough exercise today. I'm very much looking forward to Zumba in the morning!

WOW - tat dinner sounds great and healthy! I once bought a box of 60 toy mice for our cats! Amazon.com had the little tiny ones they love in bulk! We hide the box on the top shelf of a cupboard, but Bodhi jumps inside the cupboard now and yeows for a new mouse daily!

Bodhi is one smart cat who knows what he wants! :o) I didn't make it to Zumba as my pain level spiked; I'm guessing it came from the bridge & other exercises & stretches I did before bed. We went walking downtown before brunch, then more after. Brunch was super; I had curried squash & tofu hash with two poached eggs; light and delicious, as well as coffee without cream. Good conversation, good day. Had leftover quinoa pilaf & braised veggies for dinner, then rode the exercise bike while my partner visited Mom. Plan on going to Zumba in the morning, as well as calling PT for soonest appointment.

Hey KitKat - hope the PT can help you alleviate your pain - I know how much you love your Zumba. That meal sounds fantastic! I picked up some quinoa recently and downloaded a recipe book but haven't done anything with it yet. I'm thinking of maybe quinoa & spinach for dinner? I wish we had somewhere to go to TRY it first so I know how it's supposed to taste. Feel better, kiddo.
