i give up! i try to increase my vegatables and my protien to increase my calories and all i get is nausea from eating to much and over on my carbs! this is just crazy!!!! i am never going to get the right balance!

Try Ken's Buttermilk Ranch-only 1 carb for 2 TBLS that's only one tip for now. How many calories are you shooting for? You can look at my food log if you want-it may help..or not :) I aim for 20 total carbs and 1500 cals. You will see my carbs are often low, but my calories are usually pretty close from day to day. I do have the occasional higher calorie day, like usually the weekends. I know sometimes it's tough, but I often glance at the food logs of those I know are doing well to get ideas. Hang in there!!

Do you like steaks? My favorite high calorie, low carb item is a juicy prime rib. It melts in your mouth and is essentially guilt-free. You can't go wrong with any fatty meats, actually. Bacon, steaks, chicken, etc.... just nothing with breading. Overloading on veggies to up your calories is probably much more difficult and will likely having you all bound up tomorrow. So, not saying "no" to veggies, but if you have a calorie deficit, meats are the way to go, I think. (I know, it is a balancing act, but you will soon find the magic formula that works for you!)

ditto on msamy's advice. It will all come together for you,just don't stress over it. Just go through everyones logs and get ideas. You'll be fine!

Zero carb mayo - great on veggies, also butter.

I eat salads alot. One of my favorites is a Grilled Chicken Ceasar with no croutons. A good Chef Salad is another and so is a a Cobb Salad... I LOVE Bleu Cheese Dressing and Litehouse makes one that only has 1 carb per 2 tbs.
