Went for my wander at lunchtime, ended up doing about 3 miles in total. The app says 400cal, but as I forgot to turn the GPS on until half way round that's questionable at best.
Skipping lunch for now, but will have an early dinner at about 6ish (Ricotta and spinach cannelloni with steamed veggies on the side... Veggie day goal!). And just a snack tonight before bed.
And I'll carry on trying to forget about the effect of the giant pizza tomorrow...

Have you tried recording your walking on the FatSecret exercise calendar? I wonder how different it would be from the App... Your meals always sound delicious by the way. :)

I've found the exercise diary vastly overestimates calorie usage. I ended up not having the cannelloni.

Does the app take in your weight and age in calculating the cals? I think FS is too generous in all its cals for exercise and rdi

It takes weight height and age, but it doesn't say how it arrives at it's calorie estimates. You can attach a bluetooth HRM too, which and it would track using that data which would be the most accurate without a full personal BMR test to calculate your basal metabolic rate.

Sounds like a well thought out app. I've been looking on ebay at hrm watches with chest straps but everyone i like goes for silly money. :(
