OK, I know it is still January 29th but it is the first day of my February Challenge. And I am angry with myself. I have not been meeting my goals and this has got to stop. I have reached the point where little cheats here and there can no longer be tolerated.
My game plan for losing 7 pounds in February: > 1350 cals, >30 net carbs No exceptions, no excuses.

GG - Not sure if this is going to make any sense but I have no idea how to do this except to "just do it". Thinking if maybe I can actually stick to something for 28 days, then maybe I can go for the next 31 (March), and so on. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Buffy - don't be angry with yourself. You set your goals but goals are something we strive to achieve. Sometimes we are successful, sometimes we are not. As long as we stick with it more than not it will be a success./// All the changes we are trying to make, avoiding 'bad' carbs, portion control, it takes its time. Of course old dogs can learn new tricks, it just takes a little longer, a little more practice, a little more effort. Important is we will learn. Being angry with yourself does not help. We have said it before, tomorrow is another day and we will do better then...

BTW Buffy - I joined the challenge last minute. Doing good so far. Even started getting my boss out on a walk again. No idea if I really can make it but hope I can somehow fit in the time for exercise every day./// I was reading something in our health program at work. There I can create my own challenge and one thing I found very interesting was 'dance at least once a week'. And not necessarily going out, just put on some music and dance in your living room. Some exercise!!!! Love the idea.

Jozette - I really appreciate your notes. And my anger is not a bad thing if it motivates me to action. Good luck with the Challenge. If we don't lose 7 pounds - so what? The important thing is that we are eating in a way that is good for our minds as well as our bodies. Catch you tomorrow!
