iamachristianjesusfreak's Journal, 15 January 2013

I have only lost 3 pounds since I started the challenge but by eating clean and lifting weights I have lost 2 inches in my waist! So hopefully that means somewhere in this body muscle is being gained. Besides my brain from all this reading on clean eating and weight training. I need to post the pictures with the difference in eating. My husband says he can't tell but he also can't tell as small as I am when I have lost 10 or 20 pounds. He just noticed my chest got smaller.... Weirdo! Well on a weird note I had been baking my okra and yesterday thought well I will fry it. Bad, Bad idea. My belly just doesn't like the grease at all. That is what a few weeks of clean eating will do to you. I had a belly ache for a couple hours and felt icky. Decided to go walk it off on the treadmill while watching T.V. Hour went by so fast and felt better. Then crashed out. Also a couple days I go I used a seasoning I used to love and I decided it was way too salty for me now. amazing how out bodies adapt to the taste of crap. Plan on being through with all of that forever! Been watching my scale lately and it says my muscle mass has gone up which agrees with the beginning of my journal. Just going to watch it a couple more days to see what it says. Only two more days before shopping day all day with my mom. So excited! She is great at pairing things up or knowing what will look good on me. I look at some things and think no way. But try it on anyhow and it looks awesome. That is why I always make my mom help me buy clothes. Might sound stupid at 29 but I would still just grab and go if it weren't for her. lol! Now to find pants that fit my butt and look good... No mom jeans allowed here! Would be nice if my mom and I had the same one so I could just were the brand she does, but we don't. Been doing squats and lunges trying to get more definition there.

Congrats on the weight loss, but even more so on the inches lost! I bet the fat is turning into muscle and that’s why you are not seeing a huge drop in weight. :) And I hear you on the greasy, fried foods. It’s about a 3 hour drive to my future mother-in-law's house and I thought I would stop at McDonald's and get something fast, because I was really hungry. Worst. Drive. Ever. My stomach can’t take it anymore, which I guess is a good thing. Good luck with the shopping! I always need helping picking out clothes too, I never know what looks frumpy or not. :D

Good job on the weight & inches lost! And, enjoy your shopping trip -- should be fun to shop for your new smaller body!

Sounds like alot of happiness going on, yay! I love shopping trips, but prefer them with my hubby, he is really good at helping me pick what will look good on my frame! I'm like you, I can look at a top and think, eww, but hubby convinces me to try it on and then I love it! lol Always good to see inches lost even if the scale doesn't move. I haven't measured in a couple weeks. I am trying to only measure once a month so that it is, hopefully, more encouraging. Plus, it's something to look forward to! I would like to try the clean eating, but I just don't think I could do it right now, my lifestyle is so hectic. And I'm pretty sure my boys would declare mutiny! It's so hard cooking stuff for me plus satisfying them too--hoping it will eventually get easier!
