I have been following Atkins to the letter. I am not seeing massive drop in weight BUT I am seeing inches lost. I have to remember that the scale does not take into consideration muscle, water weight, bones, etc...My clothes are fitting me better. So...inches inches inches...I am shrinking in size. Just need to remember that...this is the low carb life... :)

That happens to some people on low carb diets. Strange isn't it! Some people see more of a drop in the scale and others see more fat loss and less on the scale. It's actually more important for fat loss because you can be at a lower weight and still carry too much fat. So great job! Just stick with it and the scale will eventually follow.

Thank You! I have always said that the scale is a metal monster. The only reason I am fretting is because I am part of a Biggest Loser Challenge and they are going by "weight". But you know what...this site and the challenge has put a fire under my butt. It is good to be eating clean again. Now to get myself exercising. I am finding that being over 40 (ahem...43) has made my Taebo a tad bit harder to do. As far as getting hungry at night...I understand. What I suggest is you go and find yourself a protein drink (low in carbs) and a shaker bottle. I use water but if you must have milk then use skim...anytime you feel the hunger pangs make a shake. The one I use is 100 calories and it kills the cravings. Also...water! Drink water because what you may think is hunger could actually be thirst. Other tips...sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles (has saved me from giving in)...remember there is always room for jello...sugar free kind that is! Good luck to you all!
